I was scrolling way way through watchpeopledie when an amazing post on vintage crime scenes by @GORYEET had wondered across my eyes, and I noticed Lizzie Borden's axe murders, but was only provided with one picture. I thought it'd be interesting to create a post based on who Lizzie was, and what she did to her father and stepmother. (Allegedly)

SUMMARY;

On August 4th, 1892...Abby and Andrew Borden were both found deceased in their homes, the couple was brutally attacked and murdered, Abby Borden was found upstairs in the guest bedroom with the autopsy revealing 19 blows that shattered her skull, and Andrew Borden was found slouched over on a couch downstairs in the families sitting room, autopsy also revealed he was struck 10-11 times by an axe, or hatchet.

BACKGROUND; It was a hot Tuesday, early afternoon after Andrew had made his rounds to the bank, as well as making other stops, seeing his wife Abby that morning. The Borden's maid, who was identified as Bridget Sullivan who was up in the third floor during the murders, resting, told the court she heard Lizzie Borden hysterically calling for her around 11 o'clock and repeating "Maggie! Maggie! Come down quick, Father's dead!" As the police arrived, and searched the downstairs area, Lizzie was receiving comfort from a woman named Adelaide Churchill, when she discovered Abby Borden's cold body, sunken skull, and a bloody mess on the second floor. When investigators found Abby Borden compared to finding Andrew, Abby was colder, assuming her attack came first, then the attack on Andrew Borden occurred a little while after...He had been found warm. Speculation rose about a tall man striking Abby Borden from the behind, but... Two days after the murder, Lizzie Borden came into the picture as the prime suspect for the grisly murder of her parents, she was 33 at the time. A clerk at a drugstore reported that a few days before the murders, Lizzie came in trying to buy prussic acid, a deadly posion. It was also suggested that Lizzie and Abby had a very poor relationship, often fighting with eachohter but had a "normal" relationship. As time went on, the speculation of Lizzie Borden being the one responsible, her sister Emma, was not present or even home at all during the murders. Police say it had to be someone in the home. When investiagting the timeline of everything, they found it bizzare how Lizzie knew little to nowhere abouts of her mother after 9am, when Lizzie was allegedly upstairs to go put sham on the pillows, as well as noting how 15 minutes after the attack on Andrew Borden, Lizzie went out to the yard to look for "irons" in the barn. Lizzie was arrested on the murder of Andrew and Abby Borden, but plead "Not Guilty" to the charges.

LIZZIE'S TRIAL;

On June 5th, 1893 in New Bedford Courthouse before a panel of 3 judges, and a jury of 12 men, Lizzie Borden's trial had begun. Starting off with the prosecutor, William Moody, presenting the state's case. During his speech, Moody carelessly threw Lizzie's blue dress on the table, revealing the skulls of Lizzie's parents, Andrew and Abby Borden. This caused Lizzie to faint, shocking the spectators. Moody argued that Lizzie was the only person with both the motive and opportunity to commit the murders. He presented the head of an axe that he claimed Lizzie used to kill her parents. The prosecution's key witness was Bridget Sullivan, the family's maid, who testified that Lizzie was the only person she saw in the house at the time of the murders. However, other witnesses disputed Bridget's claim that Lizzie and her stepmother had a good relationship. The defense challenged the prosecution's timeline and evidence, suggesting it would have been impossible for Lizzie to commit the murders and clean up in the short time frame. They also pointed out that there was no physical evidence directly linking Lizzie to the crime. The judge's ruling that Lizzie's inquest testimony could not be used as evidence was a major blow to the prosecution. The defense also presented witnesses who claimed to have seen a strange man near the Borden house around the time of the murders. In the end, the defense argued that the state had failed to prove Lizzie's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. The jury deliberated for an hour and a half before returning a verdict of "not guilty." Lizzie was acquitted of the murders.

AFTERMATH OF IT ALL; In my opinion, it's likely that Lizzie Borden did kill her parents, but the prosecution couldn't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. The main argument was that no one else could have done it. However, the jury didn't think that, along with a few other suspicious things Lizzie did (like burning a dress), was enough to convict her. Some people think if Lizzie had been a man, the jury might have been more likely to find her guilty. One of the defense's advantages was that in 1893, most people had a hard time believing a woman of Lizzie's background could have committed such brutal murders. After the trial, Lizzie went back to live in Fall River. She and her sister Emma bought an impressive house on "the Hill." Lizzie lived in this house, called Maplecroft, until she died at age 67 in 1927. She was buried next to her parents' graves.

The incident occurred on the night of April 2, 2019, in Tuol Thmor village, Thma Puon commune, Prey Chhor district, Kampong Cham province.

This man beheaded a 65 years old woman and her 6 years old granddaughter, and threw their bodies into the bush to hide evidence. Days later their skulls were found 350 meters away.

Context:

A 24-year-old young man, identified as Thiago Taveira, was found dismembered last Thursday (16), after being missing for a few days, in the Cajazeiras neighborhood, in Salvador, Bahia.

According to family information, Thiago had a psychotic attack and ran away from home shortly afterwards. His mother requested help from the police authorities to search for her son.

As soon as he disappeared from home on Wednesday, Tiago's family announced his disappearance on social media. Next, family members received a video in which he was interrogated by members of a “crime court”.

On Thursday, residents found on Avenida Aliomar Baleeiro, known as Estrada Velha do Aeroporto, a dismembered corpse that was in two bags. Later, Tiago's parents recognized his body.

When his father founds him, that was the reaction:

Thiago Tavares' mother said that when her son had psychotic episodes, he used to run around the house. However, on this day, he wanted to leave the property. "I didn't let him, but then he took advantage of an opportunity and took to the streets," she explained.

"There was no reason to do this to my son, they did an atrocity to an innocent boy. They told me that I would look for him wherever I was",

2000 -- 2024

First case, first pic, happened in China. Victim was a 29 year old single woman. She had committed suicide by hanging. A delivery man who had discovered her body, got there by mistake in the address and had found door to her place to be unlocked. He then had cut her down, took her body to the bedroom and after making search through her drawers, had found pack of condoms and a lubricant gel. Which he used to have vaginal and anal sex with her corpse. After he was done he just left her as is. And also put pack of condoms and lubricant next to her. As if suggesting to use her for some others, who might also find her body next and leaving the door to her place not only unlocked, but even slightly open. He also took with him whatever cash he was able to find in her place.

Second case (pics 2, 3) happened in Romania and involved a 24 year old woman, who was strangled with a cord in secluded area of park. After she was strangled, her killer took off her panties and proceeded to have vaginal sex with her body, with the use of condom. And then putting her panties back on, as it was. He also took her handbag, so to make it look like it was a mugging gone wrong. That he had a condom with him, suggesting that he was planning to have intercourse when he went in that park and was already looking to attack someone.

Last case (pics 4, 5, 6, 7) from Brazil. Involves a dead body of a 20 year old woman. She was taken out from her tomb, so to have sexual intercourse with her body.

Descendent is a 41 year old Black male who on 1/26/2020 was a passenger in a commercial helicopter that crashed into the mountain side in the city of calabasas. He was pronounced dead at the scene on 1/26/2020 at 1010 hours

Evidence of injury:

Blunt trauma

Blunt trauma of the head. Examination of the head reveals a 6 x 5 inch laceration of the frontal lobe involving the identified. The left eye is present and appears to be brown in color which congested hemmorrhagic sclera. The left lower chin shows a 6 x 6 laceration exposing the tongue and multiple fractured segments of mandable. Those fragments contain intact teeth. Examination of the laceration involving the mid to left aspect of the scalp. Parietal scal. The neck area exposed showing a segment of the cervical spine. The hyoid bone and thyroid cartilage show multiple fractions.

Blunt trauma of chest and abdomen:

Examination of the skin reveals a large laceration involving the anterior neck, upward chest, and leftward shoulder. The chest cavity is visible through this defect. A 1-1/2 x 1 inch laceration is noted to the right region and lateral lower chest. The skin is torn below the pubic region and anteriorly and extends circumferencly toward the back just superior to the buttocks. Both clavicles, the entire rib cage, pelvis, and lumbar and sacral spine show fractures

Blunt trauma of extremities:

The left arm is attached and contains multiple fractures of the humerus, radius, and ulna. Lacerations are noted to the axitallary region and mid upper arm. Examinations of the hand reveals a laceration to the Palmer aspect of the hand as well as dorsal aspect of the hand. There is avulation of the 4th fingernail.

Last one was force held under very cold weather water, hence such reddish skin tone. Both were murdered by being force held under water. First one, the 21 year old, was drowned by another woman.

ZAPOPAN, JALISCO, MEXICO – DECEMBER, 2017 17-year-old Juan Luis Lagunas Rosales was a star of the Mexican internet. He was best known on YouTube as “Pirata de Culiacán”, where he posted videos with a reach of millions. But his other social networks weren't far behind. He had nearly 800,000 followers on Facebook, 330,000 on Instagram and 37,000 on Twitter. His fame was mainly due to funny videos of him drinking alcohol until he fell unconscious.

In December 2017, he posted a video in which he crudely insulted one of Mexico's biggest and most dangerous drug lords. Specifically, the leader of the CJNG cartel, 51-year-old Nemesio Ocegera Cervantes, known as “El Mencho”. He said he can suck his dick.

Thanks to the influencer's huge reach, his video reached Cervantes himself. His reaction didn't wait long. The YouTuber's home was raided by armed cartel commandos and the poor Rosales was killed by 15 bullets.

The Aunt who killed her

A 45 year old woman has been arrested after the brutal murder of her sleeping 16 year old niece.

Colonel Sok Sarin, Inspector of Police Inspectorate of Bavel District, Battambang Province said that the murder took place at about 1:30 am on May 19, 2024 in Khnach Romeas Village, Khnach Romeas Commune, Bavel District, Battambang Province.

He stated that the premeditated murder was done by Pov Dary, female, 45 years old.

The suspect took an axe and killed her niece, 16-year-old Seng Kim Heang, while she slept.

The victim died at the scene.

Colonel Sok said that the murder occurred because the aunt was angry with the victim, talking on the phone and leaving the house too late at night.

Colonel Sok Sarin further stated that the suspect is currently being held in custody at the Bavel District Police Inspectorate, preparing to build a case to be sent to the specialized office of the Battambang Provincial Police to be sent to the Battambang Provincial Court to follow the procedure.

Two children were among four people beheaded by regime troops who attacked a village in Myinmu Township, Sagaing Region on Feb 26, 2023.

The atrocity was perpetrated after around 90 regime soldiers raided the resistance stronghold of Kan Taw.

The raid sparked a 10-hour firefight as at least seven People's Defense Force (PDF) groups defended the village, said Ko Thet Gyi, leader of the Zero Guerrilla Force, which took part in the fighting.

The junta troops had earlier abducted seven civilians, including two children aged 12 and 13, from nearby Nyaung Pin Kan village to use as human shields and guides during the raid.

After coming under attack from resistance forces, the regime troops decapitated the two child detainees at a pagoda just outside the village and also burned down its monastery.

The other five civilian detainees are still missing, said Ko Thet Gyi.

Clashes in and around Kan Taw village continued until 7pm.

PDF fighters then found two more decapitated bodies in the village.

The dead men were from the Sartaung Moegyo PDF, which was defending the village.

Zero Guerrilla Force said it also lost a temporary camp as well as 35 million kyats worth of weapons and raw materials for ammunition.

Ko Thet Gyi said the combined PDF forces managed to kill at least 17 regime soldiers in the clashes.

Regime troops also torched three monasteries, a school and 10 houses in the area. Kan Taw had already lost 450 houses in a previous junta arson attack on April 29 last year.

After occupying the village for one night, regime troops moved to nearby Htee Saung village on Monday. Zero Guerrilla Force said around 70 junta soldiers remain at the village outpost, citing video from drone surveillance.

Pro-regime media outlet Myanmar National Post reported that “security forces” (junta troops) had retrieved two dead bodies of PDF members along with weapons, ammunition, a generator and motorbikes during clashes near Kan Taw village.

It made no mention of the two child detainees beheaded or the casualties suffered by junta forces.
