LOL 9mm... too funny. Even humans often don't die from 9mm. Seriously I have seen a video where a grizzly comes running toward a group of hunters and they start firing many shots from rifles and the bear keeps coming only to collapse right in front of them. Take away: You need a heavy hunting round (7.62 hollow point / .308 and up) and hit the head, spine or heart to even stand a chance of a swift kill. Correct me if there are any bear hunters who know better.

I think bear maze is mostly effective in making humans feel prepared. Have you ever tried it out? I had a friend who brought one on a hike. After we had encountered the second bear on our trip (which made him freak out although nothing happened) I asked him and he had not ever even tried to spray in the air. He didn't know how to use it or how limited the effect was. Bear spray is only good if the bear is already on top of you. And then you may be too busy to remember how to use it. But it's also good in jewellery stores I have heard ;)

They aren't gonna hurt the bear by hitting it with sticks you dipshit. That was the most laughable part of the whole video. The bear spray came in too late but at least they didn't shoot it.
