I recommend following the examples of our less-than-hominid cousins, the apes. You want to get both hands around one of the beast’s hind legs and grip it tightly. Then pull back and jerk the beast’s leg as hard as you can without letting go. With enough force, this will dislocate the hip, inflicting serious pain and cripple the pit bull. While still holding on, turn and rotate so that the animal’s body is pulled away from you by the centrifugal force of your rotation. Continue to drag and swing the dog in a tight circle in order to tear up the ligaments in its hip. Lastly, if possible try to convert that centrifugal force into an overhead swing. This overhead swing should maximize the force at which the beast’s head is smashed into the ground. Go rewatch the video of the raccoon in the chimp enclosure, or gorillas fighting other animals if you need a visual example of these techniques in action.

not a pitbull-specific method, but i have seen one way on how to unlock a dog's bite if they have a stubborn grip on someone/something; iirc you grab a dog by the back of their collar (which the one in this video is wearing), twist your wrist and lift the collar up (by proxy the dog too). the action is supposed to force their jaws open i believe. it's only intended to be done for a few seconds but i've seen it save little dogs from firm holds of bigger dogs. sorry for the random comment, dunno if this helps at all!
