This is exactly how you stop a dog who's biting someone or something. It's a blood choke, not an airway choke. It's better if they have a collar or if you have some kind of rope. You get high up on the neck and squeeze. Done right, doggo will be asleep in seconds. Nothing else will work nearly as fast.

Where I live 1 in 5 people who own dogs owns a pitbull (usually more then one) and I've had dozens of heated arguments and one full blown street fight with pittbull owners.... they always have the same argument that it's how a pitbull is raised which makes them good or bad... they believe this fiercely and are left dumbfounded when their pitbull attcks someone or kills a neighbor's pet....

Problem is too these animal shelters make it too easy to get one. They are overrun with pit bulls, and the animal shelters will lie about the breed type to get them out the door.
