A 19-year-old individual was beaten to death on Saturday after an alleged sacrilege incident that took place at a gurdwara in Punjab's Firozpur, police said. As per police, Bakshish Singh, a resident of Talli Gulam village, allegedly tore some pages of the Guru Granth Sahib after entering the premises of a gurdwara in Bandala village of Punjab. Bakshish's father Lakhwinder Singh highlighted that his son was suffering from a mental health issue and was undergoing treatment for the same, news agency PTI reported.

Police have filed an FIR against the deceased for the alleged sacrilege, But, Lakhwinder Singh urged the police to register a case against those responsible for his son's demise.

Police claim that after tearing several pages from the Guru Granth Sahib, Bakshish attempted to run away. He was apprehended by some, and when word of the purported incident spread, the villagers gathered at the gurdwara and started beating the young man. Later, he passed away from his wounds, PTI reported.

Senior police officials, including Senior Superintendent of Police Saumya Mishra, reached the village as soon as they received the information about the incident.

An FIR was registered against 19-year-old individual Bakshish Singh under Section 295-A of the Indian Penal Code at the Arif Ke Police Station, based on a complaint lodged by Lakhvir Singh, chairman of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Committee.

Expressing his anguish, Bakshish's father Lakhwinder reiterated that his son had been mentally disturbed "for the last few years and has been undergoing treatment. The police should also register an FIR against those who killed his son," he said, PTI reported.

Meanwhile, Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh expressed his distress over the sacrilege incident in Ferozepur.

He underlined Bakshish's death as a response to the "failure to punish the culprits and give exemplary punishments by law." Besides, the Jathedar has also requested the Sikh 'Sangat' to socially and religiously boycott the family of the accused and not to allow the last rites.

Singh claimed in a statement that there has been a "well-planned conspiracy" behind the Guru Granth Sahib sacrilege incidents for a considerable amount of time.

He claimed that neither the government's laws nor their enforcement are effectively curtailing sacrilegious acts nor punishing their perpetrators.

He outlined that the sacrilege in Ferozepur is a very unfortunate incident that has hurt the religious sentiments of Sikhs. "For Sikhs, there is nothing above Sri Guru Granth Sahib and incidents of sacrilege badly harm the soul and mentality of Sikhs," he said, PTI reported.

The Jathedar of the Akal Takht, the highest temporal seat of Sikhs, stated that when the rule of law "fails miserably in performing its duty", then people do justice in their own way.

Local media informed that the 22 yo man was placed into police custody after he was found lying (or sleeping) near a graveyard. He was disabled, but media describe it differently: either intellectually disabled, mentally ill or epileptic. It often happens that the marginalized people are accused of being anamapopa - a blood-sucker. Here is a quote from February 2018, placing this event in some context:

In mid-September 2017, rumours of blood sucking spread from across the border in nearby Mozambique to Malawi. Despite statements from the police and the Society of Medical Doctors dispelling the deadly rumours as a hoax, fear fuelled by social media spread across villages and towns in southern Malawi, resulting in at least nine people being killed by vigilantes. Scores more were injured and over 200 people have been arrested for the attacks on those accused of being anamapopa, or 'blood suckers'.

After rumors started spreading that the detainee is a blood-sucker, the mob managed to get him out of the custody. They were upset by not moving this man to Chileka Police Station quickly enough. After throwing stones at the cops and chasing them away, they retrieved the victim from a makeshift cell. The man was beaten to death and burned. Reportedly, a health passport or ID was found near to him, suggesting that he was released from the hospital in Chiradzulu. It's a smaller town, northeast of Blantyre. Police didn't release any details the same day, but the manhunt started. The victim's identity was not disclosed, although it's known that his relatives lived in the area.

At the same day's night, a medic was stopped by the angry mob hunting for blood-suckers near the same Chileka road. Thankfully, he only was robbed from the money in his wallet and let go alive. News mention another man stoned to death for alleged blood-sucking in this area, but whether it was the same day or not, it was not mentioned.

The next day, the police announced that 140 people have been arrested in connection to a recent wave of lynching people for being blood-suckers. Among them were two people who were sending the messages to people in Phalombe (70 km or 43 mil east of Blantyre) that there are bloodsuckers. According to the cops, these killed people were innocent and there are no blood-suckers in Malawi. Police Inspector General Lexten Kachama, who spoke to reporters on 20th of October, stated that 'the rumours are just being spread by some bad people who want to bring fear among Malawians'.

Paramount Chief Ngolongoliwa of the Lhomwe people says that even as far back as the 1920s, people feared attacks by the anamopopa, particularly during the summer months.

"Usually these vampire rumours start at the beginning of summer and they end at the start of the rainy season. The common explanation is that it is easy for the vampires to attack their victims in the hot season because their blood circulation is very high," says Ngolongoliwa.

You have to know that the hot and wet season, which we'd call summer (even though Malawi has just two seasons), lasts there from November to April.

April 26, 2017: A gang of KILLER GIRLS murdered a female rival over the weekend – with their BARE HANDS – according to Canadian police. And police say that they LIVESTREAMED THE MURDER.

Police say that a 19-year-old NATIVE AMERICAN girl from the Sagkeeng First Nation was beaten to death by a gang of females.

Two girls, ages 17 and 16, have been arrested for second-degree murder and are currently in police custody. One of the girls who is being accused of committing the brutal murder is reportedly Chrissy Jacobs.

A young man lost his life on Saturday after receiving a severe blow to the head during a land dispute in the mountain of Azacualpa, east of Francisco Morazán.

The man was identified as Kevin Garay, 23 years old, who died in the Hospital Escuela as a result of the strong blow he received from a supposedly purged policeman who, according to preliminary data, was upset with the measurement of the land.

A video recorded by the victim's partner shows how the attacker -with a shovel in his hand- hit him in the head.

The young man reportedly had a brain seizure after the blow, so his relatives quickly took him to the health care center. However, the authorities announced his death today in the afternoon.

Agents of the National Police were present at the scene to investigate the incident and apprehend the person responsible.

The detainee - identified as Fabricio Zerón (32 years old), former officer of the National Police - has already been presented before the corresponding prosecutor's office to face charges of murder against Kevin Garay.

Residents beat the alleged murderer of the girl Camila in Taxco out of hiding

Together with a young man, the woman identified in a video was taken to the Silversmiths Avenue, and preventive police and elements of the National Guard prevented her from being lynched.

The murder of little Camila, 8 years old, unleashed the social discontent contained in the population of Taxco de Alarcón , who shouted "children do not touch each other!" They beat a woman who allegedly participated in the crime , after getting her out of a patrol car.

Residents of the municipal seat of Taxco de Alarcón beat a man and the woman involved in the murder of Camila, the eight-year-old girl deprived of her liberty, on Wednesday afternoon on Avenida de los Plateros.

The mob did not wait for the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) to obtain the corresponding arrest and search warrants to legally enter the home where the woman, identified in a video, had been taking refuge since early Thursday morning.

Around 1:00 p.m., men and women, family members and neighbors, outraged by the crime committed against the minor, entered the house and took the woman involved , who was accompanied by a young man, from there.

With beatings they were taken to the silversmiths' avenue, where with much effort, elements of the Municipal Preventive Police and National Guard personnel intervened to prevent a lynching .
