Robert Ward Hall (5 November 1949 – 13 June 2016) was a Canadian citizen kidnapped by Abu Sayyaf militants in the Philippines on 21 September 2015, and beheaded nine months later near Patikul, Sulu.

Kidnapping and death:

Hall was kidnapped for ransom by Abu Sayyaf militants in the Philippines on 21 September 2015 in a raid on Holiday Ocean View Samal Resort on Samal Island near Davao in the southern Philippines. After gunmen disarmed the resort's security guards, four people were abducted: Canadians Robert Hall and John Ridsdel, resort marina manager Kjartan Sekkingstad (Norway), and Teresita Flor (Hall's Filipino girlfriend) who was released later in the month that Hall was beheaded.

Abu Sayyaf demanded $6 million for Hall's ransom. Negotiations for his release failed, and Hall was beheaded on 13 June 2016.

The last of this hostage group, Norwegian Kjartan Sekkingstad, was released in September 2016. Hall's sister then felt free to speak openly and criticize the failure of the government of Canada to do anything decisive or effective to attempt rescue or save her brother.

Mayengo Thomas, better known by her TikTok username Mayenggo3, was a social media influencer. She was born in New York and presumably died at 20 by getting her head chopped off. The video of her or a another person was probably Snuff Film since it was recorded.

There is no confirmed informations I could find about this case. Just theories.

Theory 1

Video was recorded in Caracas, Venezuela. Victim was a snitch and he's being executed by a drug gang member. It's a popular belief, but not supported by any news source.

Theory 2

Video was recorded in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Victim was a car dealer who had unspecified ties to Cartel Del Noreste. Lesser known theory, but supported by three comments under Disturbed Reality video.

Theory 3

Video was recorded in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico. It comes from a conflict between Cartel Del Noreste and Zetas Vieja Escuela. Also lesser known theory, but the only one supported by any news source I could find.

What we know for certain?

The video was recorded in 2016. Song playing in the background is Hasta el Amanecer by Nicky Jam released on January 15, 2016.

Also a screenshot from the video was included in this article from August 29, 2016. It's a website local to Tamaulipas. This article supports theory number 3.
