I'm just curious since this website was clearly modeled after /r/watchpeopledie and I happened to stumble on it. I was very, very active in that sub, and /r/makemycoffin before both were banned. Anyone here from there? Are the mods the same people?? What's the story behind watchpeopledie.tv?

When did this site get created? I wish I had found it much earlier!! I loved the community feeling over at wpd. I like this site a little better because it doesn't have such a hard and fast rule that a person MUST have died in the video. Sometimes you don't know 100%, I felt it was kind of silly to remove posts where they were confirmed in a coma, etc. MMC wasn't near as much a stickler about that, but I still liked the users at WPD way more.

I gave the mods at /r/PublicFreakoutsReborn a lot and I mean a lot of shit for allowing racist comments and actively removing comments calling them out, thereby outright encouraging the racism. I got a lot of warnings but I said fuck it and pushed it anyway. They banned me then lied to the admins that I was evading the ban. Admins couldn't point to a comment where I was attempting to evade a ban, but they didn't give a shit because they are useless.
Then that sub was also banned 12 days ago for - surprise, surprise - not enforcing the rule on hate. Dumbasses.
I still use alts anyway so it's no big deal but that was my main at the time.

Yeah definitely. There were always medical explanations for how and why people died, as well as explanations from mechanics and truck drivers etc to explain why equipment did certain things and speculate on the behavior of the people operating it. I learnt a lot from those. The conversation was way smarter and less edgy than it is here. People say that the idea of watching gore to learn and is bullshit, but MMC was a decent counter example to that.
