So, I wanted to see if there were any news reports about this that detail the aftermath of this and, surprise surprise, I found a number of similar cases of floaties trapping kids. Still, as I narrowed my search I happened to come across this video, which I initially thought to be the same video. The pool is the same or similar and the setting seems similar but it's a different camera angle. It's not the same video as the time stamps in each one are different (Aug of 2019 and May of 2017), one kid has short hair, the other longer hair, and one kid has a bunch of other pool toys. Most notable, this kid from the 2017 video is eventually rescued by adults nearby without ever breaking free of his floatie. My question to you, internet sleuths, is do you think this is the same facility but different occasions? The pool is the same but maybe in a different room. It's crazy because it seems like the floatation device, while doing its job of floating, kind of aided in the drowning. He had a good 30 seconds there where he would have learned to swim the hard way, but may have had a chance.
