Not everyone can float. Race and genetics play a factor in how buoyant you are. I was a lifeguard a few years ago and I swim nearly daily. I can only float when I'm faced down and have a full breath of air.

Seriously, this is the most easy thing you can do if you can't swim, even if youre a fucking beginner. Its kinda comfy too ngl just annoying when water gets in your ears and then you gotta clean it because it smells like chlorine
