There’s a longer video, but they get hit with 2 VOG’s. The 2nd one is the one that seems to have sealed the deal but it seems like he was heavily incapacitated/ paralyzed even before the 2nd VOG so maybe there was a 3rd one we didn’t see. Combined with a full load of gear and the water that soaks into your clothes adding onto the weight. Also seemed like his buddy either booked it or is dead. Not a fun time.

Yeah...I think it was all that plus being in freezing ice cold water. If they get hypothermic. Symptoms include confusion, loss of coordination, and weakness so it was probably a cocktail of several things.
