Probably post party depression, they realise when it is too late. The hormones change they suddenly have no sleep from breast feeding, particularly if dad is not helpful as might be the case more in china its too much for some. Usually post partum infanticide regret it when they are clear headed.

No, this is not post partum depression. This is post partum psychosis. My best friend dealt with PPD and she's an L&D nurse. It's rough, but PPD doesn't result in infanticide.
By the way, PPD doesn't only affect women. It affects men as well, but men don't have any resources available for help.

That smaller kid is far too old for this to be anywhere near within the usual boundaries of PPD.

You think? I did not look close I just saw another of babies being killed and babies and elderly are the two I do not like to see, I thought on a glance it was a baby and when someone said hospital that was confirmed in my head. I wonder then why she did it? I do not understand.

It usually starts within the first year after given birth but the effects of that depression can last for years. This has happened before, it's just not the norm but it's not impossible in the least.
