I don’t know about bombs as much I do other things when it comes to arms, but as a bomb guy isn’t there a point you should recognize trying to defuse will probably get you killed and opt for a controlled detonation instead? Maybe this guy made a mistake or just got unlucky, for me it’s impossible to tell.

I too know little, but I don’t think the right way about it is ripping the wires like you’re starting a lawnmower. At least it wouldn’t be my first idea.

Yes lawnmower technique does seem suspect but maybe there’s a method to this man’s madness. I’d conjecture that once you figure out how to disarm the bomb, you’d better be quick about it. Otherwise the bomb will explode before you finish the process of disarming it. Obviously something went wrong for our man here, but I wish I was able to discern more.

I don't know much but I don't think it's about how quick you do it like in movies. Sure some have a timer but you arnt ganna I pack the timer

I doubt most bombs have a true timer as much they have like a tripwire sorta mechanism that when triggered detonates the bomb. But still I’d got to imagine the disarm has to be somewhat time sensitive once you start to jacking with the bomb?

When someone does something a lot of times, even if they're dangerous, they will one time or another just assume it will be as easy as the last time, that guy probably didn't think it would explode in his face. Dangerous career's deaths mostly happen because of this, e.g electricians.
