This video is old as fuck, but it's also a good time to say that I know both of these people, his name is Tristan and that was the chick he was dating at the time, Kristin.. yup, totally serious, Tristan and Kristin, both from Maine, both nice people on their own, but their codependence completely sucked the air out of the room anytime they occupied the same space, like something out of a Cronenberg film. This video happened in Savannah, GA in 2011, I believe, shortly after I graduated from the film school down there. They went out for five more miserable years after this happened, and then they both cheated on each other with the OTHER two people who LIVED IN THE SAME HOUSE AS THEY DID (what could possibly go wrong?), and then finally broke up — but not because of them both cheating on each other, but because he totaled her car after hitting the corner of a law firm (I know, convenient, right? Just walk right in through the hole you made) while he was drunk as fuck. Far from a good story, I realize that, but yeah, I know both of these fools lol.

I am not going to be doxxing anyone here, so you're welcome to take me on my word, or don't. But from what I can remember, she went to the 24hr walk-in ER, and had to wear a bandage over her eye and the bridge of her nose (it actually went into the side of her nose, and then continued through into the corner of her eye), but she wore that for about three weeks, and then as far as I'm aware she was fine after that.

So, if the dart only hit the side of her eye (the white part), then her vision is mostly fine right? The parts most important to eyesight is, of course, the cornea and pupil, and further in the centre.
Also thought this was worth mentioning. I saw a video of a surgery on a cataract. They cut the cornea off, and cut and dug out the cataract. Came out in chunks as well, wasn't pretty. After that, they closed up the wound with those little dissolvable stitches, and replaced the cornea, also stitched with dissolvable stitches. The patient was able to see after recovery, with the help of glasses.
So yeah, after reading your account of that woman's injury, and seeing that video, I definitely believe our eyes are more durable than most people think.
