I think the cab was too squished to live. However if he had laid down just outside of the truck I think he had a chance given how the container rolled off. At least he wasn't completely oblivious. He did at least notice and tried to run.

We can SEE at the end of the video the aftermath. The cab was only PARTIALLY crushed. Part way down.
If he stayed sitting up in the cab - he would have been an accordian. If he dove down to the floor of the cab he may have been OK.
