I think the maggots themselves are sterile. I heard that they even have a okay smell to them. I shit the lid of a maggot infested trash can and it smashed the maggots and they all flew up in my face. It was not my best moment. LOL. I been through worse though. Human poop is the worst by far.

True that…. They're used in wound care. I remember having the us army survival manual as a child which said that if you have a wound, expose it to flies. Cover when maggots appear and let them much away. When it becomes painful, they have gotten to viable tissue. Piss on the wound and flush them out (it's sterile when fresh from the tap).
