Idk why, but to me the creepiest are the fairly recently deceased who die with their eyes open. Where they still look more human than corpse, but you can almost feel their empty husks staring at you, or some kind of emotion stuck on their face.

For me it's not the floaters or other heavily decomposed corpses that are disturbing. I'm not sure it's really like the uncanny valley but the bodies that really get to me are the ones that look like they could very well be alive. I had a good one on a medical call lady had fallen into her bathtub and broken her neck was found 36 hours later by her daughter.
