Now subtitled: streamer freezes his girlfriend to death

This is a translation of /h/accident/post/7425/russian-streamer-lets-his-pregnant-girlfriend

The beginning is rough because it's hardly intelligible and understandable, but that's the least important fragment anyway. If you're not watching the whole thing, skip to the EMTs, that's the real black comedy.

You are obviously not living in the real world if you thought that they should have been more compassionate with a man who just killed his girlfriend and their child with his negligence and now is a potentially dangerous person who knows that he probably going to prison for a long time. You don't have a clue what he might do. He is also drunk. They are not there to kiss and wipe that man's ass.

Jump in the discussion.

“EMTs go through hundreds of dead people a week”: factually incorrect. From a poster in NYC, one of the most densely populated urban areas, once or twice a week is the average.

https://www.quora.com/How-many-deaths-do-paramedics-see-yearly#:~:text=As a ballpark: We see, probably once every two weeks

Saying “sorry for your loss” is a reflex and takes two seconds. It's probably not required, but if the situation allows it, I bet they say it more often than not. Yes, they see death more than the average person, just like a drive through worker hears McDonalds orders more than the average person. Yet they still ask “will you be using the mobile app today?” hundreds of times a day.

Your entire logical process here is based on foundless hyperbole and reaction gifs. Grow up, don't be a laughing stock by saying stupid shit like your comment in the real world. The adults will look at you and laugh, knowing they'll never take anything you say seriously again.

Slow down. Think critically. Read your comment again and think to yourself, is this truth? Or did I just make all this up with no supporting evidence?

This is how i know u have never in your life talked to an EMT.

they are immensly chill and carefree most of the time, because they are so used to it

", one of the most densely populated urban areas, once or twice a week is the average."

AY LMAO i like how u lied about your source too, ontop OF THE FACT that SEEING the people and seeing people die are literally the same category but somehow are split apart? WTF are you talking about? how can it be once or twice a week when u exlcude people that are dead or already basically and THATS ignoring all the traffic accidents. Ontop of the fact that ANYONE that works in the field knows that this is a highly fluctuating number some times u see 10 dead people a week, sometimes you dont see any at all. ur whole comment is just absolute nonsense because u just found a random answer of quoura and are a 100iq le smart redditor.

", I bet they say it more often than not. "

No they fucking dont, maybe if ur really shaken up about it, but as someone that knows EMT's personally, they dont give a fuck cuz they are used to it and the rush of constant adrenaline dampens your sensitivity to this shit. so no they dont say that. Infact they joke about it between themselfs all the time because its a way to ligthen the mood of the shit they go trough.

they lady u see here is how emts actually react to shit.

"through worker hears McDonalds orders more than the average person. Yet they still ask “will you be using the mobile app today?” hundreds of times a day."

LMAO imagine comparing a corporate job that forces you to be "Nice" to your customers to being an ambulance EMT LMAO, ur fucking braindead. i want you to go to a high stress job like this and tell me how ur gonna be asking about "mobile apps" LMAO your fucking level of intelligence is showing here and its not very high.

>our entire logical process here is based on foundless hyperbole and reaction gifs

No it isnt, your entire "logical" process is quircky retard tier midwit arguments that dont mean jack shit and the fact u have to use qoura (lmao) to try to prove anything shows me how fucking stupid you are. kill yourself cuz u are a npc for the grinder anyways.

I love how it took you three weeks to come up with a reply 🤣 how do you know who I have and haven't talked to? I used to work with a guy who was an EMT. Chill like you said.

Seeing someone die is not the same as seeing a dead person. Ask 100 random people and come back, tell me if they think those two things are the same.

My level of intelligence is higher than yours will ever be. Unfortunately, you're too stupid to realize it. You're at the level where you don't know what you don't know, so you think you know everything. Broaden your horizons, then you'll realize how insignificant you and your thoughts really are.

And using quora after a quick google search is more than you've been able to do so far. It's called citing a source. On the internet the standard of a source is pretty much nonexistent so I didn't feel the need to find a peer reviewed article for your reading pleasure. Somehow I get the feeling you would have found a way to dismiss that as well.

Reread your comments bro. Again, nobody is taking you seriously. Even when you're right about something, the way you write is moronic.

>3 weeks to reply

yeah because unlike you i am not a terminally online midwit that needs to farm internet points you fucking failed abortion.

THIS VIDEO is LITERALLY fucking proof of that, when an EMT see people die or dead people IT IS THE SAME FUCKING thing, what do you think they are gonna break down and start fucking crying?

IN WHAT FUCKIGN world is seeing someone die or arriving just after the corpse die any fucking different? what you are gonna start fucking breaking down because the corpse was alive 0,2s after you arrived?

there is NO fucking difference you will be desensitized all the same.

>"My level of intelligence is higher than yours will ever be."

go back to reddit

>It's called citing a source.

Nice fucking source, a random retard on the internet with made up statistics like "yeah i see people dead people in accidents all the time but clearly seeing a person die is so different" LMAO as if there is any fucking difference in dealing with corpses.

>Ask 100 random people and come back, tell me if they think those two things are the same.

are those 100 people ambulance drivers? desisntized to death? or random civilians that have not seen death in their life?

you have no clue wtf you are saying and are so dishonet that you try to equate EMT's that works with dead corposes and sees death daily is somehow equivalent to random people seeing someone die or see a corpse, as doe random fucking people on the street have any fucking clue and arent just saying shit.

i can tell who you have talked to by the sheer amount of retardation coming from your brain, you have no critical thinking ability, you qoute me fucking qoura and some retarded tier statistics then go around talking about your source, same source that fucking outright just lies and arbitrary seperates cateogries as if it makes any fucking difference. whats next you are gonna tell me EMTs dont work with death because they are no declared dead until they have a certificate?

NO dude seeing dead fucking people all the time, desasintixzed you to this shit, wheter it be a person hit by a car or a person that just died it dont fucking matter cuz you are used to death.

but since you are literally braindead you seem to think that somehow seeing people die on a daily basis is different then seeing corpses of accidents 24*7 like this is just fucking stupid.

go ask EMT's if they give condlonces to the family everytime they have dead dude LMAO

I've gone through First Aid course and the one thing we are constantly told is to never ever declare or assume someone is dead until at least attempting to perform proper CPR. Someone can look dead, be not breathing, and still come back to life, especially when it's just been half an hour since falling unconscious. Those Russian EMT workers are fucking useless.

My gawd lord if you are EMT and you see a dead person you know they are dead. Even I could see through the screen she was dead, she looked like a damn puppet, don‘t even know how long she was lying there.

The EMT also looked like she has seen shit and one day she got over the door swell, smelled beer and a rotting corpse, shit and was greeted by a guy, drunk, live-streaming, doesn‘t give a shit about his dead GF besides asking like 10 times if she is dead.

HE was the one that could have helped her. When the EMT arrived, it was too late and she knew immediately.

The thing is though… you do that drunk too… so I don't know that's not a fail proof sign of death either. A lack of a fucking heartbeat isn't a sign of death. You can restart the heart. Have none of you heard the story of the frozen lady literally a FROZEN CORPSE brought back to life? Use google I know it is true so you can find it you're a big boy or girl. Depending on the length of time her heart stopped beating and how long her brain was not actively given oxygen she could be revived but never regain consciousness and be brain dead. So yeah she could have been brought back POSSIBLY but this lady didn't bother and we will never know. If I was her mother I would be mad at this deadbeat for letting her die in the hallway slowly freezing to death it seems as well as die on his floor while he live streeamed for sympathy instead of ACTIVELY saving her life. Poor beautiful woman…. She didn't deserve such a shitty bf and friend.

Some weak-ass "attempts" at CPR there. By the time EMT arrived and saw he hadn't been doing any life preserving measures, it was too late. We don't really do the mouth-to-mouth thing anymore since it can cause more problems than it helps. But, if you really think someone needs CPR, you have to do more than some light jostling. CPR is basically to keep blood circulating through someone that's otherwise "dead". Without a pulse, you're using the pressure of pushing the diaphragm to force blood around like the heart would do. Expect to break ribs, because this isn't how your body is meant to do this. You're not hurting them if they need CPR - at that point, they're a corpse that might have a chance of coming back with medical assistance; you can't really kill them worse than being dead. It isn't like movies - people don't just wake back up from CPR; you still need medics. All you're doing is becoming a manual blood pump, so prepare to get really exhausted - medics tend to do CPR in shifts on site. And, if you're worried about being sued by the person in the event you save them - which has happened - check your nation's Good Samaritan Laws. It's best to take a course on CPR to best learn how to do tell if it's necessary and to learn proper technique, but I think it should be something everyone is at least basically aware of for situations like this. But, it's best to not be so stupid you find yourself in situations like this to begin with.

What are the pros and cons of the mouth to mouth style?

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Blood cells have oxygen in them so when you call ems you just need to do the heart and the blood can still give oxygen to the body ;)

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Ok thanks, but thats not what i was asking.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

The Pros are if you are more outback or on the edge of a city where it takes like 15 minutes for EMS to arrive you can do Mouth to Mouth to save the life so its a Pro cause it can make surive chance higher also if a hobo in the park collaps you dont want your lips to touch him so you can just use the oxygen that is still in his blood Cons are not there really only if there is injury to lung that would get worse if you blow them up but maybe there is something thats just what i know

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

The idea behind it is that you're replacing the air in their lungs with oxygen-rich air. In the case of drowning, I think it's still used, because it may help displace some water. But through compressions, by forcing a motion in the diaphragm, you're still aspirating the lungs in the same fashion as breathing, just not as efficiently as if the body were doing it itself. By breathing into another's airway, you are providing more oxygen than just compressions alone, but it's more important for the person that the blood continue to circulate than it is to reoxygenate. It doesn't help considerably more than just compressions at that point. But, by doing mouth-to-mouth, you're getting exposed to the person's biology. Herpes and any other bloodborn disease could be passed along through this process, via ulcers or lesions. Overall, compressions are good enough versus the risk of infection to who-knows-what that you could get from a stranger.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

That makes sense. So in a life threatening situation its ideal to have two people for m2m and compression?

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Ideally, yes. But in a life threatening situation, focus on rhythmic compressions, in orders of 10; allowing a quick break to see if they've begun to breathe again on their own.

911 asked me if I would try CPR but the thing is, I could already tell she was gone. It was just obvious.

EMT here… sometimes we just go through the motions so it looks good to the family, even though we know the person isnt coming back, families in distress cant fathom that in the moment, so its easier to just put on a show and stop once we get in the ambulance.

Where is the electrocardiagram, where did she check, if she is breathing or did she look for safe signes of death?

I forgot, maybe you come from a country, where they have no medical standards. My bad

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

As a paramedic myself I can tell you I instantly notice if someone is breathing normally / agonally / not at all. Also, as @Totallynotafurcute twink said, body temperature is a massive giveaway, as well as the colour of the skin, nose and lips. Then, the pulse check, which takes 2-3 seconds from the neck to verify - no carotid pulse. The breathing and pulse check verifies cardiac arrest, and by the reactions of the EMS I assume they got details of the delays ahead of arrival.

In the country I work we would have done rigor- and livor mortis checks on the body, as well as record an asystole ECG and eardrum temps, verify a non-existent pupil reaction to light and chest auscultation. But as with many of my colleagues, the first paragraph I wrote is enough to slow things down and start collecting data / calming down friends or relatives at the scene. After this point, most of the work falls on police and social services, not the responding paramedics or EMS, who are there to provide life-saving measures such as CPR. Most countries have strict guidelines that limit available treatments depending on the causes and delays for cardiac arrest, and in many cases, unwitnessed lifelessness means the patient would not be receiving on-field intensive care, or CPR - for that matter.

I do think the paramedics / EMT were being quite blunt with the guy and could have handled that more subtly (socially), but, I also happen to know, that after a long shift - I assume around 24 hours of dealing with other drunk and irresponsible people that do not give a rat's ass about other people or the wellbeing of the people trying to help them it is not something I'm terribly surprised about. However, this does not justify treating someone having gone through heavy trauma like that in any case, even as much as he was being an absolute idiot.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

You're right about almost everything. Except about the way that the ladies handle the man. They handled that as cordially as it is going to get. It's not like they're telling him that his girlfriend died in a random car accident. He killed her. They know he killed her. He knows he killed her. He could be potentially dangerous. You'd be stupid to not have your guard up.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Yeah, you're absolutely right, this is definitely a situation to keep your guard up and be wary of what state of mind the man is in, check your surroundings and makes sure you're safe.

My personal approach to this would include the fact that the man is drunk and quite unaware of the actions he had performed that eventually lead to the incident as well as visible and audible shock of hearing the statement of death from medical professionals, which gives hint that he regrets what he has done or caused to happen. This calls for subtlety, not only for the precarius conditions, but to maintain calm atmosphere and avoid alerting or otherwise upsetting the "suspect" over the fact he is responsible to a degree over the death of the young woman. Often times we are the only unit at the scene before police arrives and in shady situations like this, the best course of action is to keep things calm and try not to upset the people that might TURN ON US when feeling cornered, especially if we by our attitude or composure express blame or stress unnecessarily.

I am not going to get killed / injured over someone being drunk and causing their friend or loved one to die of what ever reason. I'm there to prononuce death and answer medical questions until police arrives to then point fingers, ask legal questions or arrest suspects.

P.S. Also, I believe the other EMT is male (by the sound of voice heard on video at 7:55)

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

My good man, my country quite literally sets the medical standards for the rest of the world. At 5:45 she checks her pulse, which she doesn't have. And her body temperature is so obvious cold that she immediately knows she is dead. You don't need an EKG for that.
