TEXARKANA, Texas - When a 23-year-old who died in police custody in 2019 told officers he couldn't breathe, he was accused of "felony faint," according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed Sunday in federal court in Texarkana.

I'm not defending this guy at all, maybe it was karma and he deserved it. But I don't personally think it was right to crack jokes instead of allowing him medical care, or at least give him some air and water.
Police do this all the time, including people with small misdemeanor charges. They preach about how people are always saying they can't breathe. Maybe that's because police are quick to take suspects to the ground hard, knocking the wind out of them?
