That was really dumb. The cop had the perfect opportunity for multiple leg shots - yes, I know cops are told only to shoot center mass. But still, this is obviously not the same kind of situation where a complete lunatic charges the cop.

Theres a femoral artery in the leg which if shot, will cause the man to bleed out anyway, not only that but leave him in agonising pain as he bleeds out. There was no good way to solve something like this, sadly
