How the hell does someone deal with the after pain and life after that? Like shower, cook, clean? Sleep??? Eat???

some people like the pain afterwards too. i used to cut and i liked the pain of showering after and the scabs getting stuck to my long sleeves and reopening when i took my shirt off. it’s totally fucked and i’m glad i don’t think like that anymore. but yeah, for a lot of people the healing process is part of it too, i’d reopen mine a lot too which is why my scars are so bad.
