Rightt? Maybe it's just because I'm a little bitch with anxiety but I would freak out over baby styros which barely bled compared to most of the videos on here.. like would spend days trying to clean it and cover it so it would heal without complication. I'm not that dramatic over it now (I find myself cutting every few months or so, when a crisis occurs) but still the blood scares the shit outta me. Especially when I'm never thinking things straight during my self harm and would just slice my wrists in my room where I'd immediately rush from to the bathroom when blood starts dripping everywhere lmaoo. I like making my cuts hidden beneath my clothes but I'm like never in the right headspace to consider that in the moment so I end up with a lot of scars that weren't meant to be so severe or visible

IIRC, it's not as easy to die from a single vein that isn't as big. The human body can surprisingly handle a lot of things, including small blood loss. I've seen a lot of shit on this website regarding to dying by Exsanguination and that was Hella more than this. Also when you lost a half of your entire blood, you're dead. So 1/4 is not good.
But he probably did play with is blood like it was a fountain for a few moment and then applied some pressure. But that shit is wild.
