Seems like anger man. Some of the worst SH I've seen in person (after they've healed and scarred) has been usually done in anger and frustration or delusional self harm. Both you don't realise the pressure you're putting on yourself. I've dealt with it too more so just to feel something or punishment so luckily never hospitalised but yea. Anger is one hell of a emotion especially if it's taken out on yourself. Please stay safe yourself don't go idolising this like some others have in the comments

But I've never seen that amount of damage to the human body inflicted by themselves.

Might not be as emotionally traumatizing as your mentioned video, (I don't know it) but I have to make sure to put a TRIGGER WARNING to it for people on this site that are going through that.

That sort of self-harm depicted in this video or many other vids is seriously horrible and even if people quit doing it and have changed their life around, those horrible scars always remain to remind you of those dark times... ☹️

certain tools like razors r rlly sharp. all it takes is pressure and a fuck ton of either adrenaline or self hatred, maybe both. deep cuts like this r often motivated by simply not feeling like previous cuts were good enough and wanting to do worse.

as for the pain, it kinda depends on just how sharp the tool is. if its extremely sharp, it barely hurts at first. it just feels warm and maybe kinda numb and tingly, a bit of pain similar to like a foot falling asleep. but after waiting awhile or cleaning/messing w it somehow it does start to hurt. if the tools dull... idk man, ive always been too scared to find out. id imagine its like a whole new world of pain.

i cant speak for everyone, so dont take this as like scientifically proven facts
