What's probably weird to know for the ones who never done this themselves is that it doesn't even hurt initially but taking a shower the next day is where the shit really begins.

I know exactly what you’re talking about. I’ve done deep self harm on my arm before and next day it felt the way it looked. I can’t describe the feeling because it sure as hell doesn’t feel like any other small injuries I’ve had before.

I've cut off the tip of my thumb accidentally while working and it didn't even hurt until I had to clean my thumb with water at the doctor's office, stings like hell, I figured it was the adrenaline that didn't make it hurt for a good hour and a half but even after it didn't hurt that much except when showering or washing my hands.
