I have hung myself before (the thing i was using wasn't strong enough and snapped after 15 seconds)
the first thing that happens is your vision will get darker and darker from lack of oxygen in your brain.
After about 10 seconds you cant really control your arms and legs. You basically slowly become paralyzed.
If you hang yourself you basically have 5-10 seconds to change your mind before you die.
This is from my experience and hope you understand how it work.
