A family with the initials EA (51y), AIL, JWA (13y), and JL (18y) died horribly after jumping from the 22nd floor of the Teluk Intan Apartments, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Saturday (9/3/2024).
Chronology:
One family was seen getting out of car. Then the family took the elevator to the top floor and climbed the rooftop then jumped with their hands tied between the victims.
North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Gidion Arif Setyawan said the victim was found dead in front of the apartment lobby in a pathetic condition due to suicide.
"The four bodies died as a result of suicide by jumping from the 22nd floor of the Teluk Intan Apartments."
It is currently suspected that the family decided to commit suicide because of economic problems in their family. This information was conveyed by the victim's neighbor who had lent him some money.
