Dude was way too low. If you are gonna jump, be at least 6 stories up. 2 or 3 stories the odds are in favor of you living and being permanently disabled.

height doesnt matter, its how and where you land. there are videos on this site where people die from literally tripping. his failures he landed on a car legs first. cars are designed to absorb the energy of an impact. legs first didnt help either.

what on earth are you talking about, height doesn’t matter? So if I trip and fall into a big bag of dicks on my way to the bathroom tonight, you’re saying my chances of death are just as likely as me falling from a 30-story tower, into that same bag of dicks?

If that guy jumps off the 2nd floor, his impact velocity is 40ft/s. If he jumps from the 4th floor it’s then 60ft/s.

sorry english is not my main language and since many people complained it wasnt height enough i wanted them to also consider other important factors.

its the force resulting from (negative) acceleration that kills not the velocity (alone). velocity is just a part of the formula. at moment of impact the time or distance for the slow down is also a factor that should not be ignored. in the case of the video its the car + his legs that result in a slow negative acceleration for his head/chest to make it easy survivable for him. you can clearly see how much energy got absorbed by the car from the damage and his legs from the broken legs.

the difference in acceleration when slowing down from 40ft/s to 0ft/s over a distance of <1 inch (head first to concrete) and 3 feet (car + legs first) is tremendous. the acceleration then is only a factor to calculate the force, thus the difference in magnitudes stays for the resulting force.

since we're here to watch people die, here's an example of someone tripping and die https://watchpeopledie.tv/h/accident/post/9649/drunk-man-fell-3-feet-and

hope you can now happily enjoy your big bag of dicks again
