Probably not. A person can stay conscious for a while without blood pumping properly to the organs and brain.

Not only that, but a bullet would have to tear through the ribs and lungs before it could puncture the heart. He shot himself at point blank, of course, so there's a big chance it was able to do that. But I don't know much about the gun he's using or what caliber the bullet is, so its not even a 100% confirmed shot to his heart.
