On April 10, 2017, inside the Mahoning County Courthouse in Youngstown, Ohio, 48 year old Robert Seman Jr. was being led to a holding cell following a status conference.
Seman, to put it lightly, was a psychopath. For five years, he raped Corrine Gump, starting when she was only four years old, and ending when she was nine.
In March 2015, on the day that the now 10 year old Corrine was due to testify against him in court, he burned her house down, killing her, as well as her deaf grandparents, identified as 63 year old William Schmidt, and 61 year old Judith Schmidt.
If he was convicted of the murders, he would have likely been given the death penalty.
According to many people present at the conference, Seman was in good spirits, and didn't seem to have any warning flags of a suicide showing. Sheriff Jerry Greene said "He was talking about the future of his trial, and he just decided to jump."

When the arson that killed the girl and her grandparents was committed, this piece of shit was actually OUT ON BOND pending the charges of aggravated rape and gross sexual imposition. He even tried to bribe his victim's mother to testify AGAINST the girl. He was facing life in prison.... and Judge Maureen Sweeney granted him bail... for half the bond the DA's office was demanding.

So then this Judge Sweeney should be held partly responsible for the murder of this child and her grandparents. It might make judges take a closer look at who they're granting bail for if they are aware they'll be on the hook for letting a bastard like this out so that he's able to commit additional heinous acts. Some may refer to pedophilia as mental illness and no doubt it's in the DSM, but at the same time there is NO TREATMENT that I am aware of that can 'reverse' or 'cure' this condition. Castration, followed by life at hard labour (I'm talking working with a shovel and dirt/clay/gravel/rocks 12-14 hours a day) doing public works projects might not cure pedophilia, but it's likely to occupy enough of their time that there's little else to do but sleep and eat - in the process they can make a microscopic dent in the enormous harm they've caused by completing (an endless) task that helps people or makes the world a slightly better place. "Oh, but what about his human and constitutional rights ?" some might say. They might say that and to that I say he forfeited those rights when he chose to commit those acts in the same way his acts have violated the rights of those he victimized. Ok, that's enough ranting for now. Wait ! There's more ! Instead of prison, they can sign up to be painfully vivisected in a series of otherwise forbidden medical experiments that could possibly yield benefit to society. Ok. Done. Enough time occupied being upset about the acts of some piece of worthless human garbage.
