Falling off a building seems more and more appealing to me, esp. backwards. It's like you can fly. And you'll never see it coming or feel anything. Please correct me if you have tried it and I'm wrong.

Theres no proof its instantanious. Theres no proof of any suicide method being instantanious. Even a gunshot. Your brain is full of cells, so chances are, the cells that survived (and lots of cells will definatley survive) will be trying to make sense of whats going on until the very last brain cell dies out. Which is probably more agonizing than anything anyone can go through here on earth.

I absolutely hate heights, seeing this just reinforces that fear. Fuck jumping off a building or a bridge. If I remember correctly from a video I watched about suicide jumpers jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, a lot of the times the people didn't die from the impact but from drowning. What ended up happening was their bones shattered and they couldn't swim out, so they drowned. I realize its water and not concrete/earth, but still fuck that. One of the survivors who jumped experienced that as well but was fished out alive. He said the moment he let go of the railing he immediately regretted his decision. I often wonder how many other people felt the exact same way, but didn't get so lucky to live.

The water under the Golden Gate is pretty cold and full of currents. Even if you stay in one piece your chances of survival are pretty slim. I have seen the same report and remember the stories. Maybe everyone who died regrets it regardless of self inflicted, killed or naturally. Usually they just can't give interviews later.
