The bicyclist escaped with minor injuries. A new video angle surfaced which showed that he didn't die. Unfortunately, I don't have the video anymore, but if I find it, I'll update this post. [EDIT: @sog found it!]

The alternate video showed that he was actually just swept to the side, just past the white SUV, and not seriously hurt. The lamp post came down RIGHT NEXT TO the bicyclist and then swung to the right of the semi truck which VERY QUICKLY swept the bicyclist past the front of the white SUV, just before it would have hit him. Then he got up and walked away, hopping a bit like he hurt his leg. You can actually barely see him beyond the white SUV in this video if you know what to look for. Everyone who's visible in the video survived. However, three people in the white SUV didn't survive.
