A terrible accident occurred in the Bolshemurtinsky district on January 17, at about four o'clock in the afternoon. As the traffic police informed us, two cars collided on the 108th kilometer of the Krasnoyarsk-Yeniseisk highway near the village of Maly Kantat. According to the preliminary version, the Toyota Camry was moving from Krasnoyarsk towards Yeniseisk and drove into oncoming traffic, where it crashed into a Honda Stepwgn.

The Stepwgn tipped over from the impact. Two of his passengers died on the spot. Seven more victims were taken to Bolshemurtinskaya district hospital. Among them are both drivers, two passengers from Toyota and three passengers from Honda.

The regional hospital reports that an air ambulance team immediately went to the scene: two surgeons, two anesthesiologists, resuscitators and two paramedics. Three victims, who were in extremely serious condition, were urgently operated on by local doctors in Bolshaya Murta, and then they were taken to the intensive care unit of the regional hospital on ventilators.

— The victims of the accident were diagnosed with skeletal injuries, traumatic brain injuries, multiple fractures of limbs, chest and lung injuries. On the night of the 17th to the 18th, four people were evacuated to the regional hospital, and on January 18, two more patients were transported in the afternoon," said Konstantin Baryshnikov, head of the air ambulance department.
