A fatal accident occurred in the Belgorod region, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region reported.

According to the department, the accident happened on Sunday, November 21, in the Alexeyevsky district. At about 2 p.m., the 34-year–old Renault Logan driver was driving along the Belgorod-M–4 Don-Novorossiysk highway. The man was heading towards the city of Rossosh.

At the 178th kilometer of the highway, the driver violated the rules for the location of the car on the roadway. The car went into a ditch and overturned. As a result, the driver was injured, and his 62-year-old passenger died of his injuries at the scene.
