A terrible accident involving an SUV and a motorcycle occurred in Chita. Alexey Zabelin, the absolute bodybuilding champion of the Trans-Baikal Territory, who was driving a motorcycle, died the next day.
The accident happened on August 1 at the intersection of Lenin and Polina Osipenko streets. The Mitsubishi Pajero car was about to turn left, and Zabelin, driving a Suzuki GSX-R 750 motorcycle, was driving towards it at a traffic light. The driver of the SUV did not give the motorcyclist an advantage when passing, but immediately began to maneuver. Zabelin decided not to slow down at high speed, but to try to avoid the SUV.
The motorcycle hit the right rear wing of the Pajero, after which Zabelin and his passenger flew out of the saddle. The bodybuilder fell on a standing Toyota Corolla. The motorcycle slammed into the SUV with such force that the two-ton car turned 90 degrees
The victims were hospitalized, but Zabelin was in such a serious condition that he had to be connected to a ventilator, the regional Ministry of Health reported. Unfortunately, the next day, on August 2, at 25 years old
According to the police, Zabelin violated the speed limit and never had a license to drive a motorcycle. The driver of the SUV, in turn, did not give the driving advantage to the motorcyclist, which provoked the accident
