Drunk driver hits two elderly women, killing one and seriously injuring the other

In Tomsk, two women were hit by a car at full speed with perfect visibility. A bank employee died on the spot, her friend is being rescued by doctors.

Investigators have already established why the terrible accident happened — a drunk man was driving an out-of-control car.

A Toyota, driven by 37-year-old Dmitry Reznik, flew onto the sidewalk, where there were two women, and demolished them. 70-year-old Valentina Vyalova died on the spot, her 57-year-old friend was seriously injured, but survived, she is now in the hospital.

The culprit of the accident, who quickly got out of the overturned car, and one of the eyewitnesses, Ruslan Zolotarev, immediately rushed to help the women. The man was also walking along the sidewalk, but miraculously was not injured. According to Ruslan, the foreign car was driving with a clear excess of speed.

It is known that the culprit of the accident, Dmitry Reznik, leads a fairly active lifestyle. He is both a hunter and an athlete, and, apparently, a fan of fast driving. And, as it turned out now, he likes to drink. At the time of the accident, he was drunk and clearly overestimated his abilities, which he did not hide: Reznik himself told eyewitnesses that he was intoxicated.

Now the culprit of the accident is testifying, he has already passed an examination, and he was sent to a temporary detention center. The court will consider the issue of his arrest tomorrow.
