Popayán, Colombia
In the early hours of this Sunday, March 24, two young people lost their lives in a tragic accident in the north of the city of Popayán.
The event occurred in commune three, in front of the facilities of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Cauca.
Diana Carolina Parra Idrobo and Juan Camilo Arboleda Ayala lost their lives in the accident.
Likewise, four young people suffered serious injuries and are currently being treated in a healthcare center in the capital of Cauca.
The Municipal Traffic Secretary, María Liliana Vargas, confirmed that the accident occurred due to a collision between two private vehicles, one of which fled.
The video shows how the vehicle in which the victims were traveling is hit by another car, causing it to spin on the road and end up against a power pole.
Among the injured are: Valentina Obando Palma, Santiago Andrés González Ortiz, and Miguel Esteban Fernández.
