ALWAYS look either side of the road before you cross. This has been taught to kids in elementary school, more adults ought to follow the same rule.

Looks survivable, but there's no way of telling what damage was done when they land on their head/neck like that.
Perfect example of right of weigh trumping right of way. The are signs for a crosswalk, so car should have stopped, but the pedestrian would have been able to tell the car wasn't by simply looking.
I don't understand crossing the road without even looking once. Is it hubris?
