Why aren't people in New Jersey allowed to pump their own gas? Are they too lazy or too stupid? I know they are too fucking stupid to be allowed to make left turns, but pumping gas?

Special interests. In the old days, full serve was the norm. NJ passed a law so that the gas attendants didn't lose their jobs.

Of all the jobs to artificially prop up, so many states choose gas pump attendants. Well, they aren't the only ones, I'm sure. Still weird to force labor where it isn't needed anymore at gas pumps.
