A multiple traffic accident occurred on Friday morning May 3 in Machachi, Pichincha. ECU 911 reported that the collision occurred at 11:47 am on Av. Panamericana Sur and Guarderas.
A woman, dedicated to commerce, died at the site, while 10 other people were injured, reported ECU 911. According to authorities, 13 vehicles, including light and heavy vehicles and an interprovincial bus, were involved in the accident.
A truck carrying several kilos of fruit and vegetables overturned and its cargo fell on a vehicle.
The emergency was also attended by the Fire Department of Quito, the National Police, and control agents of the canton of Mejia.
Personnel from the Traffic Accident Investigation Service (SIAT) of the National Police went to the site of the traffic incident to collect evidence and make expert reports. The assistance resources continue working to clear vehicles and detached material.
After 19:00 yesterday, the uniformed officers cleared the three lanes of the road with no further incidents.

Two people died after a lorry loaded with fertilizer plunged into a ravine on Jalan Beluran-Paitan, today, believed to be due to brake failure.
Beluran District Police Chief, Superintendent Kasim Muda, said the 44-year-old driver and 25-year-old passenger died at the scene as a result of severe injuries.
He said that when the accident occurred at about 9 am, the lorry was traveling from Lahad Datu to Paitan.
"The result of the investigation at the scene found that the lorry carrying a load of fertilizer was suspected to have lost control before it skidded to the left of the road."
"As soon as it skidded off, the lorry was reportedly thrown into the ravine," he said in a statement today.

Happened on June 10, 2020, at 4:37 pm on М-11 highway in Konakovsky District, Tver Oblast, Russia
33 years old man was driving DAF truck with Schmitz trailer towards Saint Petersburg.
40 years old man in his Land Rover was also driving in the same lane towards Saint Petersburg.
Truck crashed into the back of Land Rover, causing it to roll over and fell into pieces.
Land Rover driver wasn't wearing seatbelt and he died on spot.
At first the truck driver tried blaming the victim by saying that:
While DAF was overtaking Land Rover, the offroader lost control, crashed into a barrier and later into DAF's trailer.
His version was debunked by CCTV footage.

A student of higher education institution (HEIs) was killed in an accident involving three vehicles at Kilometer (KM) 125.1 South North Expressway near Yong Peng, on Wednesday.
According to Batu Pahat District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Ismail Dollah, the accident involved a Perodua Bezza car, a scania trailer and a Proton Waja car.
"Initial investigations revealed that the accident was believed to have occurred at 7pm on Wednesday, when the Perodua Bezza-type car was hit by two UTHM male students (University of Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia), Pagoh, who were 20 and 21 years old respectively, violated the back of the trailer truck a scania type guided by a 28 -year -old man.
"The collision caused, the Perodua Bezza car crashed into a roadblock before a 65 -year -old Proton Waja car coming from the same direction (Johor Bahru headed to Kuala Lumpur), not being able to brake (stopping vehicles) and then hit the Perodua Bezza car.
"As a result, Perodua Bezza's front passenger was killed at the scene while a trailer truck driver was injured and sent to Muar Hospital for further treatment," he said in a statement on Thursday.

A man who was directing traffic was hit and killed by a car on a national highway in Nogata City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
A 63-year-old man who was driving the car was arrested.
According to the police, around 3:30 pm on the 28th, a large truck hit a man in his 60s who was directing traffic for weeding work on National Route 200 in Yunohara, Nogata City.
The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Police arrested Fumio Yanagi (63), a company employee in Fukutsu City, who was driving a large freight vehicle, and are investigating him on suspicion of negligent driving resulting in death.
In response to the investigation, Suspect Yanagi admitted to the allegations, and at the time of reporting, he said, "The left lane was regulated, but I didn't notice it."

Copacabana, Colombia
A woman, who was traveling on a motorcycle on the North Highway, in the jurisdiction of the municipality of Copacabana, in the Aburrá Valley, died this Wednesday, May 1, after suffering a serious traffic accident. The young woman crashed into a bus that parked on the side of the road and was then run over by a tractor-trailer.
The woman, who was wearing beige pants, a pink blouse and white tennis shoes with green tints, died as a result of the accident that occurred on a section of the road near the Comfama Recreational Park.
In the recording apparently recorded by the camera of another vehicle traveling along the North Highway, it is observed that the woman was traveling in the lane closest to the section where intermunicipal service buses usually park.
As seen in the video, the young woman apparently does not notice one of the parked vehicles and hits the rear of it.
Immediately afterwards, the young woman is ejected from her vehicle. Unfortunately, the moment she touches the asphalt, she is run over by a tractor-trailer that was traveling through the area.

A man died after the vehicle he was driving skidded before colliding with a lorry near Jalan Kuantan - Kemaman, Cherating, Pahang on Thursday evening.
The incident, which is understood to have happened at a corner near the resort, Club Med Cherating, was also recorded through the dashboard camera of the lorry involved.
Based on the clip, a white Perodua Axia vehicle driven by the victim was seen skidding and entering the opposite road before colliding with a lorry that was passing through the said route.

Police are looking for a motorcyclist going against traffic resulting in a fatal accident at Kilometer 22.2 Ambassador-Klang Highway (SUKE) Hulu Klang here on Wednesday.
Ampang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail said further investigations were still underway to identify the identity of the motorcycle rider including researching closed -circuit camera (CCTV) footage at the scene to assist in the investigation.
The victim, Ahmad Fadzil Omar Azaddin, 64, was riding a Ducati Panigale motorcycle through a curved road, believed to be trying to avoid another motorcycle against the current.
The victim then violated the left side of the road, before being thrown and fell down the bridge at a height of about 30 meters.

A pillion rider died while a motorcyclist was seriously injured after hitting the side of a lorry on Jalan Tuaran near the Amminudin Baki Mosque here, this afternoon.
The victim, Adshar Sabree, 19, hails from Kampung Likas and was confirmed dead immediately at the scene in the incident at 12 noon.
Kota Kinabalu District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Habibi Majanji said the incident involved a motorcycle ridden by the victim and a lorry driven by a 25-year-old man.
"The initial incident happened when the truck driver was on his way to Manggatal from Tuaran by using the lane on the left.
"When arriving at the location, the motorcycle the victim was riding hit the right side of the lorry before the victim was thrown to the side lane and run over by an express bus," he said.
According to him the impact of the incident caused the victim to die immediately at the location.

An accident occured on Pasha Savelieva Street in Tver.
BMW rammed small GAZ truck causing it to fall on its side.
After that BMW also crashed into Renault Duster.
Multiple ambulances arrived on the scene, but BMW passenger died anyway.
According to the witnesses, 34 years old BMW driver fled the scene. He was reportedly drunk.

Bintulu, Malaysia
One was killed, while another was injured in a road accident involving two vehicles on Bintulu-Sibu Road, near Budiman Driving Academy here today.
The victim was the driver of a pickup, while the minorly injured was a car driver.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) said firefighters from the Bintulu Fire Station were deployed to the scene after they received an emergency call about the accident.
Hu Seih Hing was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedics after he removed from his vehicle overturned by a firefighter.
