The killing of Kelvin Odunuyi, also known as Lampz and DipDat, occurred on 9 March 2018 outside the Vue cinema in Wood Green, London. The murder was retaliation for the death of Kwabena Nelson, a former member of the NPK street gang.
Background
Kelvin Odunuyi was not born into the Gang Life, he was a well mannered boy that attended a Boarding school but also a High school in the notoriously dangerous Woodgreen area of North London where he was reportedly groomed by older gang members to do work for them. This statement was backed up by his friends, one in particular that made a video talking about it:

Introduction to gang life
Kelvin eventually fell victim to grooming and was doing 'jobs' for the older gang members. During this time he was seen in multiple videos with other members.
Lampz was active in the UK Drill scene. He released several tracks, and appeared in various music videos before his death:
During this time period it is well rumoured that Kelvin helped to kill and/or killed other gang members, one in particular that led to his demise, Kwabena (Kobi) Nelson, a former member of Woodgreen rival gang NPK. This has since been officially confirmed by the MET police "Kelvins DNA was found in the car that crashed near Kobis house. Kobi called 999 with his friend after he was stabbed, here is a recording. Kobi was pronounced dead on scene when the paramedics arrived, may he rest in peace.
Death
Kelvin's murder took place on the 8th of March 2018 at 12.30 am, almost five weeks after Kobi Nelson was killed. Kelvin a group of friends were at the Vue cinema in Wood Green, North London, and he posted his location on his instagram story, which alerted his killers. A moped consisting of 2 people was making its way to the location, from Tottenham. Once outside the cinema, they spotted Kelvin and his friends then et off shots from most likely a shotgun. However, these shots missed and Kelvin and his friends ran back into the cinema. Kelvin then assumed the shots were blank so ran to the front doors armed with a knife he had on him. However, the bullets proved to be real as the next round of shots hit Kelvin in the head, which lead to his death. After the shots were fired, the moped sped off, leaving cinema goers and Kelvin's friends in shock.

Paramedics arrived on scene to find Kelvin with a bullet hole in his head, he was pronounced dead on scene.

After his death many opposing gang members disrespected him in music videos and on snapchat and instagram, a video titled Kelvins Coffin exploded on youtube after his death and has remained controversial to this day.

Following the death of Kelvin and other Nigerian youths in the UK, Abike Dabiri, an assistant to the President of Nigeria on foreign affairs, stated that the increase of Nigerian deaths in the UK "was worrisome and disturbing." Kelvin's death was also mentioned in a song by rappers Tugga and Trills, as well as in a song by OFB rapper SJ.
The constant mocking of Lampz was addressed by Wood Green members in a prison freestyle in 2019. The media reported on the freestyle in 2021:

To this day it is unknown who really killed Kelvin, turned schoolboy to murderer his street name "Lampz" remains another statistic in UK gang violence.

Murder of Alice Gross:
Alice Poppy Madeleine Gross was a 14-year-old school girl who lived with her sister (Nina Gross) and parents (Jose Gross and Rosalind Hodgkiss) in Hanwell, West London.
Missing case:
Alice went missing after leaving her home on the 28th of august 2014, The search for her was the largest deployment of Metropolitan Police officers in a search operation since the 7 July 2005 London bombings. It involved 600 officers from eight services.
How she died:
Initial post-mortem results were inconclusive, struggling to definitively find her cause of death due to decomposition and the length of time her body had been in the water. After further tests, the coroner concluded Alice had died from “compression asphyxia,” in an attack believed to have been sexually motivated.
Suspected killer:
The convicted murder Arnis Zalkalns who went missing from Ealing, West London, on 3 September was a suspected killer of this case.
How it happened:
The police believe Zalkalns, who was convicted of murdering his wife in Latvia, encountered Alice as she walked along a canal towpath. One week later Zalkalns, 41, was reported missing from his west London home. Police took the unusual step of naming him as their "prime suspect" as hopes of finding the teenager "dwindled".
Murder Inquiry:
On october 1st, the police launched a murder inquiry after alice's body was found hidden under logs on the bed of the River Brent the night before. On 4 October, police announced that they had found a badly decomposed body in dense woodland in Boston Manor Park during their search for Zalkalns, and that early indications suggested the body might be his. Police confirmed two days later that the body was that of Zalkalns. The cause of his death was hanging.
Community service:
The local community of Hanwell was galvanised during the time Gross was missing, and a poster campaign to "Find Alice" was organised through a Facebook page. In order to increase public awareness of Gross being missing the community tied yellow ribbons to trees, railings, their cars and homes. Ealing Borough Council flew flags at half-mast following the discovery of Gross's body, opened a public book of condolence and replanted flower beds near to the Hanwell Clock Tower with yellow pansies in Gross's memory.
Police briefing:
In a briefing on 28th of january 2015 the Metropolitan Police stated that "all the evidence points firmly to Arnis Zalkalns" and that he would have been charged if he had not hanged himself.

On 17 June 2019, at approximately 8:40 AM, Brian Isaack Clyde opened fire on the Earle Cabell Federal Building in downtown Dallas, Texas. His only accomplishment: death by cop.
The attack
Approximate route Clyde took, X marks where his car was parked and circle is roughly where he fell.
Clyde was armed with an AR-15 style rifle (brand not named) and at least 150 rounds of ammunition, stored in 30 and possibly 40 round magazines. He parked his car on South Griffin Street, and approached the Jackson Street side of the building.
He shot out the glass doors, alerting three federal security guards who promptly returned fire. This forced him to withdraw, and according to photographer Tom Fox (put a pin in that name, we'll come back to it later), drop one of his loaded magazines. After a brief exchange of fire at the door (one witness described hearing about 45 shots), he fled into the parking lot. While running, he was fatally wounded and collapsed to the ground.
Police immediately swarmed to him, treated him, and loaded him into an ambulance. He was taken to Baylor University hospital, where he was pronounced dead. In total, he had succeeded only in killing himself.
After Clyde was removed from the scene, a suspicious device was found in his car. This was detonated by the Dallas bomb squad.
The man
Brian Clyde was born on September 30, 1996, and was 22 at the time of his death. He graduated from Vandegrift High School in 2015. Afterwards, he served in the army between 2015 and 2017, reaching the rank of Private First Class before being honorably discharged. His unit was most likely the 187th Infantry Regiment (didn't stop him from wearing a 101st Airborne patch because he was a LARPing dumbass). After his discharge, he enrolled in Del Mar College, in Corpus Christi, and would graduate in May of 2019 with an associate's degree.

Tom Fox
I can't not devote a section to this man. Tom Fox is a Pulitzer-winning photographer who took the photo at the top of this thread. At the time of the shooting, he was about twenty feet from the gunman (you can see him hiding behind a pillar in one of the videos). He photographed Clyde at pointblank during the shooting, and then went back to his regular job afterwards. This man's a fucking legend, and he showed far more competence and professionalism than Clyde ever did.
Conclusion
Clyde had just graduated from university, and he'd served two years in the army. He had everything going for him and he fucked it all up with shitty memes. Don't be like Clyde. For me as a meteorologist for nearly 15 years now, going through extensive disasters such as the Black Saturday Bushfires back in 2009 here in Australia, to Super Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan in 2013, no disasters has perked my interest as much as the 1999 Bridge Creek/Moore F5 Tornado (there are a few others such as Xenia 1974 and Jarrell 1997). This storm, if the fujita scale rating has gone up over F5, would be at F6. This was a beast. Unfortunately, I am limited in finding bodies of victims of this tornado, and others like it.
And of course, if you have personal experiences with disasters, let me know! I'm considering my future options in doing my doctorate and I would love a bit more research material for any future thesis or papers I plan on writing.

On May 3, 1999, one of the most infamous tornadoes in U.S. history rampaged central Oklahoma. The tornado was an F5, and it tore through the cities of Bridge Creek, Newcastle, Moore, and parts of the south side of Oklahoma City.
The tornado was part of a prolific early May tornado outbreak, which featured a vigorous upper-level low pressure system that moved into the Central and Southern Plains during the morning of May 3. Surface analysis indicated a dryline was located from Gage to Childress, Texas. By late morning, low clouds over northern Texas into Oklahoma started to dissipate as the dryline began to approach. A mix of sun and clouds took shape, which allowed the atmosphere to destabilize. The combination of sunshine and surface heating, and plentiful low-level moisture, led to a very unstable air mass. In addition, strong directional wind shear and cooling temperatures in the upper atmosphere indicated the atmosphere was primed for the development of tornado supercells.
Thunderstorms began developing in the late-afternoon hours as CAPE values over the southern Plains had reached nearly 6,000 J/kg. Large supercell thunderstorms formed too, and during the late afternoon to the mid-evening hours of May 3, tornadoes started to touch down across Oklahoma.
The powerful Bridge Creek-Moore Tornado was the 9th out of 14 tornadoes produced by a supercell thunderstorm during the tornado outbreak. It formed around 5:26 pm CST, about 2 miles south-southwest of Amber, Okla., and grew rapidly as it headed northeast, paralleling Interstate 44. It moved across Bridge Creek and rural parts of northwest Newcastle, producing continuous F4 and sporadic F5 damage. The tornado was estimated to be a mile in diameter at this time.
From there, the tornado moved through southern sections of Oklahoma City, to the northern sections of Moore, through Oklahoma City again, to Del City, and on into Midwest City. The twister claimed 36 lives, destroyed 1,800 homes, and damaged another 2,500, according to the National Weather Service. In fact, a Doppler on Wheels research radar measured a wind speed of 301 mph about 100 feet above the ground in that tornado, which was up to three-quarters of a mile wide.

Opening
November 27, 2023 A 14-year-old Fatally stabbed 15-year old-Delvin Ferrell and Another student, age 16, He was charged with murder on a juvenile petition. Wake County District Attorney Lorrin Freeman said the 14-year-old charged with murder in the deadly stabbing at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School could be tried as an adult.
Video posted on social media by multiple students show a fight breaking out in a hallway before 11 a.m. on Nov. 27. In the melee that spilled into the gymnasium, Ferrell and a 16-year-old were both stabbed. The 16-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
In the first call at 11 a.m., a student tells a dispatcher they're hiding in a bathroom amid the commotion. “They talking about stabbing people and guns,” the student says in the call. “Can you please come to the school? Please?” Raleigh Police have not reported finding any guns during their investigation of the stabbing. A 14-year-old student has been charged with murder and could be tried in adult court. “I'm a student, I'm scared,” the student later tells the dispatcher. The student can also be heard on the call asking other students what happened. A minute later at 11:01 a.m., a school employee called 911 asking if police are coming. The dispatcher tells the employee that the school resource officer has already called asking for EMS to respond. “We're on a lockdown,” the staff member says. “Can you tell me anything?” The dispatcher tells the employee that the school resource officer was handling the situation and to remain in place.

According to the news police say video taken by students shows multiple perspectives of the fight (even though this is the only video i know of, of it), which outside the gymnasium and then spilled inside, with students following the fight as it unfolded.

From reports a woman's voice over law enforcement radio traffic can be heard saying:
"He's losing consciousness right now. We're in the main gym,"
A male's voice can be heard saying, "Can you make sure the administrators put the school on lockdown?"
The school remained on lockdown for the rest of the day

At a community forum Jeremaine Cotton, Ferrell's older brother and a student at Southeast Raleigh High, told the audience of nearly 500 people that packed the school auditorium that he witnessed his brother's stabbing. “I no longer feel safe in the school,” Cotton said. “I'm a junior and I've seen my fair share of violence in the school. I don't think people really care about us like they say they do.”
Laura Grimes, Ferrell's grandmother, attended Monday's forum and said she heard that the school received a call ahead of time that something was going to happen on Nov. 27. She said her grandson's death was a tragedy that should have been avoided. “When that call was made, something should have put in place,” Grimes said. “I'm grieving.” The mother of the 14-year-old suspect has said that she warned the school on the day of the stabbing that her son was going to be attacked.
The Schools Record
Principal Eddie Harden told the crowd at the forum that additional staff are now at the school to help supervise the students. He said the school will focus on lessons on conflict resolution and getting students to report information that could impact the safety of the school. Students can anonymously report tips at 919-856-1911. “We have to move beyond being silent due to past norms,” Harden said. Harden was among multiple people who said the school and community is being unfairly painted with negative stereotypes. “You're not going to talk about my students, you're not going to talk about certain neighborhoods,” Harden said. “You're not doing that. We can't accept it.” News reports have pointed to the crime rate and academic performance of Southeast Raleigh High compared to other Wake County schools. But Wake County Superintendent Robert Taylor said the successes of the school also need to be pointed out.
According to the most recent data from the North Carolina Department of Instruction, which is from the 2021-22 school year, Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School has a higher rate of reported crimes per 1,000 students than Wake County Schools as a whole. That includes 16 categories from alcohol possession, to weapons possession, to sexual assault.
The data also shows twice as many reported acts of assault and possession of weapons district-wide compared to pre-pandemic.
That state data also shows 13 reported instances of students bringing a weapon to Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School in the 2021-22 school year — none of them were guns.
