As a mountain biker myself to me it looks like he hit the jump a bit farther to the left than intended. That is a common mistake that can happen due to lose ground, rocks, roots or divots that make you over adjust the landing due to bad approach. It could also be caused by a misjudgment by the rider. Accidents happen and this was one. Extra props to the rider for wearing a helmet.

Manaus- An unidentified man died after colliding with a large vehicle and being hit by a bus on Tuesday afternoon (21), near a gas station, on Júlio Cortazar street, Parque 10 de Novembro neighborhood , central-south area of Manaus.
According to information from witnesses, the victim was on a motorcycle when he tried to overtake a bus and ended up hitting a large vehicle.
The impact of the collision caused the man to be thrown from the vehicle and hit his head by the bus. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called but only confirmed the death of the victim.

Air installer suffers injuries after being electrocuted
Los Mochis, Sinaloa.- An air conditioning installer suffered serious burns on different parts of his body when he was installing equipment on the second floor of a building.
The man accidentally touched the high-tension cables that pass above the residence where he was working in the city of Los Mochis with a ladder.
Rescue teams such as firefighters arrived at the scene.
