On 14 December 1982, in South Korea, Lee Dong-sik, an amateur photographer and boiler pipefitter, murdered Kim Kyung-hee, a female barber who he met at a regular barbershop and became a lover, by making her eat poison so that he could photograph her as she lay dying.
Lee dong sik, the amateur photographer was grew up in a disadvantaged family environment and suffered from frequent school violence from a young age, and had a record of four convictions for specialised theft. It was in these harsh circumstances that he stumbled upon photography and began to actively pursue photography, even winning a silver medal in a photography exhibition. However, he soon struggled to find a special subject and eventually decided to shoot nude models, and met the victim, Kim Kyung-hee, at a barbershop he had been frequenting. At the time, she was working as a shaver at the barbershop.
Soon after, the suspect Lee Dong-sik told the victim, Kim Kyung-hee, that he would help her make a career as a nude model, and she reportedly agreed and went on photo shoots. During this process, the two gradually developed into a romantic relationship. However, the suspect, Lee Dong-sik, who had been suffering from suspicions and rumours of an affair with the victim, decided to murder Kim Kyung-hee, who had suddenly developed an intimate relationship.
He called the victim to the acid and made her take cold medicine mixed with potassium cyanide. The victim immediately collapsed and began to struggle after taking the pills, and the perpetrator took 21 photos of the victim as he watched her struggle. (Even after she died.)
