On 21st of September 2022 (Wednesday), at 4:20 PM, young woman was shot 6 times and died on spot near the BR-232 highway at Belo Jardim, Pernambuco. Exact spot was at the outskirts on SW side of the city, in front of the Hotel Asa Branca. There's a gas station nearby, as well as some truck / bus stop - buses from there were heading to the Sanharo, located around 12 km to the east.

She was identified as Carla da Conceição Silva, 24 yo, her hometown being São Bento do Una (close to the south from both mentioned places). Here's a photo from Belo Jardim News FB page:

Victim's body was transported to the IML in Caruaru (around 50 km west to the Belo Jardim; IML is Legal Medical Institute). Reportedly, Carla was a drug user and recently had substracted around 2,000 reals (about 400$). She was approached by two individuals, who - after walking by and firing 6 shots - escaped in an unidentified vehicle. Sources don't mention if there was any CCTV nearby (catching either them, execution itself or escape) or what the girl was doing here exactly.

I haven't found follow-up news. Last ones mention Military Police unable to track down that vehicle and the case of homicide being handled to the Civil Police.
