DISCUSSION

AlP, the Aluminum salt of Phosphine is sold as Celphos, and is one of the major causes of death and common method of suicide in North India. When the salt comes into contact with water, it rapidly converts to phosphine (PH3) gas:

AlP + 3 H2O -> Al(OH)3 + PH3

Posioning with this method carries a mortality rate of 60-90%, phosphine itself is extremely toxic (lethal dose=3.03mg/kg). So why did the body ignite itself?

Sometimes phosphine dimerizes to make diphosphine:

2 PH3 -> P2H4 + H2.

Diphosphine is known to be pyrophoric, when it comes into contact with air it ignites, which is why phosphine samples usually catch on fire. The decendent ingested a massive amount of Aluminum phosphide (200mL), which could have been the reason why it ignited.

Persons exposed only to phosphine do not pose substantial risk of secondary contamination, but persons ingesting solid phosphides may present risk either by liberation of phosphine or spontaneous ignition. However, spontaneous ignition is rare, and this report is the one of the only reports of it occuring.

If you're wondering if he was the shooter he wasn't, it was his brother that got shot and was lying on the floor. The 2 brothers were in an altercation with another person who pulled out a gun and shot one of the brothers. He basically died for no nothing. Also the guy that killed his brother was charged with 2nd degree murder but the case was dismissed as it was deemed self defence.

This is the guy that shot his brother: https://i.watchpeopledie.tv/images/17195015176660147.webp

There is nothing in the video to indicate that the victims were homosexual. That's why I added "allegedly".

Aftermath

A 35-year-old British man has been named as the victim of Sydney's first fatal shark attack in nearly 60 years.

Police have not yet formally identified the victim and his family have not commented.

Australian authorities are still searching for the great white shark, with swimmers banned from the water and most city beaches shut after Wednesday's attack.

Mr Nellist - who was a diving instructor - was mauled by a great white shark just off Little Bay in east Sydney. He was a member of the city's Scuba Diving Social Club and a regular swimmer at the beach, BBC Sydney correspondent Shaimaa Khalil reports.

A UK foreign office spokesperson said consular staff were in touch with New South Wales Police. "We are supporting the family of a British man and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time," the spokesperson said.

Shark attacks in Sydney are uncommon because the city has long had nets and other deterrents in its waters.

The state government said its shark experts had estimated the predator to be a great white shark "at least three metres" in length based on footage of the incident taken by a member of the public.

Several passers-by who witnessed the scene have described a vicious and frenzied attack.

"[The person] was swimming and a shark came and attacked [them] vertically," Kris Linto told Nine News.

"We heard a yell and turned around, it looked like a car had landed in the water, a big splash then the shark."
