A girl was filming the drawings of bridges, got carried away and fell into a 7-meter deep technological pit.

The victim was pulled out and taken to the intensive care unit. She suffered a fracture of the skull base, closed trauma to the chest and spine. The girl went into a coma and traumatic shock, and unfortunately died a day later.

The incident occurred earlier in the day when the carousel chairs with people inside collapsed during a ride at the Orenpark amusement park. The mayor's office said that the accident had been caused by a mechanism malfunction.

"According to recent reports, as a result of the accident in Orenpark 20 people, including 12 children, were injured.

Eight people were sent for outpatient treatment. Twelve people, including six children, were hospitalized in Orenburg hospitals. All the patients have been examined," the ministry said in a statement.

One woman with multiple injuries in extremely serious condition is in the intensive care unit, along with a 10-year-old child in serious condition, the statement read. Another 10 patients in moderate condition are being treated in trauma units, the ministry added.

A man disguised as a worker shot dead an elderly man on Friday night while he was playing cards with his relatives in the marquee of his home on Genova Street, in the Barrio Lindo district of San Pedro de Macoris.

The victim was identified as Thomás de la Rosa, alias Mártires, aged around 65, who died while receiving medical attention at a private health centre in the city, where he arrived in an agonising state, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The incident was recorded by a surveillance camera, which shows the perpetrator entering the house and, without saying a word, shooting the deceased several times.

There were about six other people at the scene, including children, but all were unharmed.

The remains of Thomás have been sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for an autopsy, while the authorities are investigating the whereabouts of the perpetrator, who did not use any object to cover his face.
