Police sources confirm that the town is experiencing a wave of violent robberies carried out by Maghrebis, many of whom have Spanish nationality as they are second-generation immigrants.

This morning, the Mossos d'Esquadra (autonomous police force of Catalonia) arrested a 23-year-old man in Manresa, who is of Spanish nationality and Maghrebi origin. On May 21, he assaulted and injured a girl at the entrance of a building on Vic Road in the capital of Bages. As seen in the video accompanying this news, captured by security cameras and accessed by ElCaso.com, the arrested man took advantage of the girl closing the door to enter and steal her mobile phone, which she was using on hands-free. But that's not all; he also hit her several times, threw her to the ground, and then dragged her to the door, allowing him to escape.

The security cameras at the doorway have been key. Officers from the Investigation Unit of the Manresa police station knew who he was and were able to arrest him within two days. According to ElCaso.com, the young man was identified and intercepted this morning, also in Manresa, and is accused of a violent robbery. He is awaiting a court appearance tomorrow or Saturday to decide whether he will be released, as expected, or sent to prison.

18 Al Shabaab fighters get executed by Somalian firing squad (at 0:48)

Full video, which also intersperses some close-up aftermath:

The beginning of this video has a shortened version with sound:

Galkayo, Somalia

June 27, 2021

Twenty-one men have been executed in Somalia's semi-autonomous state of Puntland after they were convicted of being members of the Islаmist militant group al-Shabab. They were sentenced by a military court in Galkayo and shot by a firing squad.

State radio said 18 of the men had carried out assassinations and bombings over more than a decade.

Similar death sentences have been handed down by courts in other parts of Somalia before, but this is reported to be the largest number of executions of al-Shabab members ever in Puntland.

The authorities in Puntland had vowed to bring to justice any members of al-Shabab or people found assisting the group in its attacks.

The BBC's Africa editor Will Ross says the Islаmist group still poses a huge threat to Somalia's stability. Al-Shabab controls much of the country's southern and central parts, and research published in October by the Hiraal Institute said the militants raised more cash than the Somali government.

As the executions were being carried out on Sunday, al-Shabab fighters stormed the town of Wisil in the Mudug region.

There are some reports that at least 20 soldiers were killed when an army base was attacked.

Sidenote: Somali Youtube is fucking wild. That video above had over 500K views and not even an age restriction.
