OC. Today marks one year clean.

Yes, I did self-heal. The scar is awful. I'm not trying to glorify self-harm, the second photo is one year of healing. (I also pick scabs though, the one pictured has been perpetual since the healing.) https://i.watchpeopledie.tv/images/1719497523193453.webp

I know this won't reach many people most likely, but be careful what you do to relieve your anger and stress. I get questions often and honestly I'm a pretty self-conscious guy, so it gets bad when I have to explain it.

Thanks, but i don't want praise, i want others not to do what I've done. It is disfiguring; no one wants to see thr guy who cut himself.

Not praise for selfharming but staying clean for a year. Shits hard, I know. You've grown stronger than the urges each day. I'm 4 months clean.

There's no easy way to avoid it. Its very cliché, but ride the wave. Things turn around. I wish you the best on your own recovery.

Thank you, I'm trying my hardest to abstain. It's been especially hard since losing my grandpa, but I promised him I wouldn't do it any more, and I would never lie to him, especially on his deathbed.

Now if only I could do the same with alcohol, my biggest vice. Working on that too. I lost my grandfather (very suddenly, mind you,) about a month ago and I promised him I'd get clean. Here's hoping I can do that too, yesterday was one week.

One step at a time!! Remember you are "healing. Not healed"

I was in a bad car accident and lost my cousin (I was driving so the guilt I carry is immense) and I used alcohol heavy to drown my pain.

One day after a bad and embarrassing black out I woke up and thought…idw to drink anymore…and haven't touched it for 6 years now!

One day you will find yourself able to hold that pain without the vices! I promise!

I am so sorry for your loss. I often used to borderline/total blackout and go here. Call it coping or whatever, but at leat for me personally, i watch videos for catharsis i guess

Some days it is a struggle, but I don't want to do it again. A week in the psych ward taught me that.
