Actually, with no respect due to you, I have every fucking idea what the pain felt like, because I was in a WORSE crash and I popped up and ran out of the road within 5 seconds of the crash. I layed around later. This guy was 10% laying there because of actual difficulties moving and 90% lying there out of self-pity.

The guy was probably in shock. When you just escaped death, you don't necessarily have the capacity to think logically, I wouldn't be surprised the guy didn't even realise where he was and therefore, couldn't think about the fact it would be safer to move. Honestly the bus was going pretty fast, and it's important to be able to see what's on the road because a deer carcass wouldn't wear bright colors either.
