Two girls, ages 13 and 15, who were charged with the murder and carjacking of a Pakistani immigrant killed last month while working at his job delivering food in Washington, DC, have reportedly reached a plea deal with prosecutors.

Mohammad Anwar, 66, died when police said the girls, armed with a taser, sped off in his car as he clung to the driver's side with the door open and crashed seconds later just outside the ballpark of the Washington Nationals.

On Monday, the teens reportedly reached the plea deal with prosecutors that would ensure they will not be held past the age of 21 nor be placed in a prison facility.

According to The Washington Post, Lindemann gave no indication that her office would try to transfer the older teen's case to adult court. Under DC law, the 13-year-old could not be prosecuted as an adult due to her age.

The judge set the next court date for April 20 to discuss the status of the case.

A video of the incident shows the encounter unfolding in a minute and a half, ending with Anwar's Honda Accord on its side, the girls climbing out and a fatally injured Anwar sprawled and motionless on the sidewalk.

Police have not identified the juvenile suspects, one of whom is from the DC and the other is from neighboring Fort Washington, Maryland.

Anwar, who lived in suburban Springfield, Virginia, was at his delivery job for Uber Eats when he was killed.

The 90-second clip begins with Anwar struggling to regain control of his car after the two girls made their way inside.

'They're thieves,' he is heard saying as he attempts to pull the girl out of the driver seat of the parked car. 'This is my car!'

The teen suddenly accelerates, sending the car speeding down the 1200 block of Van Street SE with Anwar still clinging on to the driver side's door.

At one point, the car is seen smashing into a metal fence from its left side, crushing the delivery driver between the barrier and car door.

As the car continues to speed off into the distance, a screeching sound is heard followed by a loud crash.

The bystander filming the incident runs over to the site of the crash to find the car rolled over and the two girls climbing out of the wreckage.

Anwar's body can be seen lying motionless on the corner on the sidewalk, as witnesses scramble to get help.

Two National Guardsmen who were in the area removed the juvenile suspects from the overturned car and detained them until police responded to the scene and arrested them.

Anwar was eventually rushed to a hospital but could not be saved. He was ejected onto the sidewalk and sustained fatal injuries, including head trauma and broken bones.

He was described in a GoFundMe post as 'a hard-working Pakistani immigrant who came to the United States to create a better life for him and his family'.

The GoFundMe campaign, launched on behalf of his family, had raised more than $1million to cover the costs of a funeral and to provide for his survivors.

'Anwar was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who always provided a smile when you needed one,' the family said.

'Words can not describe how our family is feeling currently. Devastation, confusion, shock, anger, heartache, and anguish are just a few that come to mind.'

A speeding train has run over a crowd watching fireworks during a religious festival in northern India, killing at least 60 people, police said.

The train failed to stop after the accident on the outskirts of Amritsar, a city in Punjab state, according to Congress party politician Pratap Singh Bajw.

Railway police officer Sukhwinder Singh said on Saturday that the death toll had risen to 60. Another 50 people have been injured and hospitalised.

A witness said the train had not even sounded its whistle as it sped past the site, where hundreds were watching the burning of an effigy of the demon king Ravana during the Hindu festival of Dussehra.

“Why did authorities allow the fireworks display so close to the railroad?” he asked. He told the Republic TV channel that he had lost two brothers.

Another witness said the victims had not realised that a train was coming their way because the fireworks were too loud.

Navjot Kaur Sidhu, a local Congress party politician who was the chief guest at the religious function, said the celebrations take place in the area every year and railroad authorities are alerted to run the trains at slow speeds.

She said there are homes on both sides of the track.

Following the accident, people rushed to the site and shouted at railway officials. The site of the accident is nearly 290 miles (465km) north of New Delhi.

At least 50 injured were admitted to a government-run hospital, according to Rajesh Sharma, a magistrate, who was quoted by the Press Trust of India.

As the effigy was lit and the fireworks started at the religious function, a section of the crowd started moving towards the tracks while watching the event.

Although accidents are relatively common on India’s sprawling rail network, this was among the country’s deadliest in recent years.

A teenager, a 16 year old boy, dives off the seaside promenade in Beirut, Lebanon and slips before the dive. The slip causes him to miss the ocean and instead hit the concrete slab below where fishermen fish. He hits the concrete face first, then goes into the ocean. In a short while, the ocean for yards around has turned red with blood. There are people and boats in the water trying to help the guy, and girls are screaming all over the place.

The scene then shifts to a hospital where the poor guy is being overseen by a team of doctors and nurses. His face has been split clear in two down the middle vertically!

He is still alive, conscious and breathing, and his tongue is moving around. He appears terrified. The doctor takes the sides of his face and pushes them together a couple of times to make a whole face again. The doctor says, "Where do I begin?" a few times in Arabic.

The water has gone completely red in the video. The rescue team with a boat can also be seen. People who think the video is fake say that the water is too red, and the blood he lost could not possibly have turned the water so red. When blood loss occurs in water, the water is almost like a medium for the blood and allows it to spread a lot as it mixes. This can cause a little bit of blood to look like a lot of blood. This is not to say the victim didn't lose a lot of blood, but the color of the water makes it appear as if he lost more than he did.

The second part of the clip is the same kid in the hospital, but was shot with a different cellphone so it looks different. The hospital staff is definitely speaking Lebanese Arabic. This part of the clip was shot in the brightly lit ER of the American University Hospital, which is only ¼ mile away from where the accident took place. That's why things are so much brighter in this part of the clip.

People say there is no way a cellphone would have been allowed in an ER, however, in the Developing World, it is quite common for family, friends, etc. to be present in the ER right next to the patient's bed as the staff hovers around them.

It's also not uncommon that they have a cellphone on them and record the goings-on. That would be unheard of in the US, but in the Arab World, no one thinks anything of it.

As you can see in the hospital footage, they have the boy intubated, which is an excellent idea. However, he is not on a ventilator, nor are there any signs of monitoring equipment such a pulse oximeter. Also they did not put him in C-Spine precautions (C-collar, backboard, strapped down).

The physician is focusing on holding his face together, possibly in order to protect the airway. Critics say the doctor is "playing" with the face, and no doctor would do that, but I don't think he is playing with it. I think he's trying to fix it.

Some US Medical personnel say the video is fake because he is not receiving proper medical care. Keep in mind that this is Lebanon. He is getting reasonable medical care, but he is not receiving the best of medical care.

In this case, the best care would be the following: Put the victim in a drug induced coma for most of the time. Start with the major things like checking the frontal bone (forehead) to ensure the brain is safe, maintain vascular supply to tissues, deal with the airway (victim would need a tracheotomy), try to save his vision and go from there. After that, try bone fusions/pinnings to repair bones and muscle re-attachments to repair muscles. Skin and soft tissues would be dealt with last. There would surely be a hell of a scar afterward.

In this case, all the surgeons could do was to stitch up the deep and severe wounds in his face. Although some clinicians on the Net say that a good ENT could patch this kid up, this poor guy could not be saved. All the surgeons were able to do was keep him alive in the ICU for two days before he died. The death was due to spinal fracture and in particular severe internal bleeding in the brain.

Police were called to Sheffield's (UK) Utilita Arena at around 8.25pm on Saturday to reports of a player being seriously injured during an ice hockey game. The 8,000-strong crowd were asked to leave the venue and officers remain on the scene.

Nottingham Panthers has confirmed Adam Johnson, 29, died during the team's derby clash against Sheffield Steelers.

The game at Sheffield Arena was abandoned shortly after the incident.

In a statement, the club said: "Adam, our number 47, was not only an outstanding ice hockey player, but also a great teammate and an incredible person with his whole life ahead of him. The club will dearly miss him and will never ever forget him.

The team added: "The Panthers would like to send our thoughts and condolences to Adam's family, his partner, and all his friends at this extremely difficult time.

"Everyone at the club including players, staff, management, and ownership are heartbroken at the news of Adam's passing."

Tyre Sampson was a 14 year old boy who died after falling out of the Orlando Freefall Droptower, at the time, the tallest droptower in the world.

Sampson was a football player who weighed over 300 pounds, and was unable to fit the harness of the ride over himself. The ride operator made “manual adjustments” to the seat so that the harness could be loosened enough for Sampson to ride. The harness “opening” was expanded to almost double its intended size, causing Sampson to slip out the bottom and plummet to his death near the end of the drop.

The Orlando Freefall has since been dismantled due to Sampson’s death. Though the cause of this incident was identified to be operator error, the operator at the time has not been named, so I can’t say whether they faced any punishment or not.

California Woman Livestreamed Dying Teen Sister on Instagram After Car Crash

Obdulia Sánchez, 18, has been arrested in California on suspicion of causing a fatal car crash that was recorded live on Instagram.

A California woman is in custody after allegedly livestreaming a fatal car crash on Instagram that killed her 14-year-old sister and injured another teen.

Obdulia Sánchez, 18, was booked into the Merced County Jail on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated after Friday's crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Sánchez was behind the wheel of a 2003 Buick when the vehicle veered onto the right shoulder of the road, according to the California Highway Patrol. Police said it is unclear how fast Sánchez was driving.

She over-corrected, causing the vehicle to swerve across lanes, crash through a wire fence and overturn into a field, the authorities said.

The two 14-year-olds were not wearing seat belts and were ejected from the car during the crash, officials said.

In a statement, the California Highway Patrol said it is aware of the possibility of "video evidence located on social media" and is investigating.

Part of the livestream shows Sánchez outside the car with what appears to be her sister Jacqueline's body. The other teen can be seen attempting to wave down help.

A security guard from the city of La Ceiba, in Honduras, lost his life after accidentally shooting himself while filming a video to share it on social media.

The man was identified as Marden Valdez who, according to relatives, worked for a security company named Trident.

According to acquaintances interviewed by local media, Valdez used to play Russian roulette with the weapon, removing his ammunition and firing his revolver to the rhythm of the songs he was listening to, but everything seems to indicate that this time a mistake cost him his life.

According to his Facebook account, Valdez had been working in the security industry for several years and he was the father of a small son, now orphaned.

On Tuesday (August 10) night, a 24-year-old innovator and school dropout named Sheikh Ismail Sheikh Ibrahim succumbed to his injuries during a fatal accident on his DIY helicopter. The incident took place in the Fulsawangi village in Mahagaon tehsil in the Yavatmal district of Maharashtra.

As per reports, Ibrahim had dropped out of school when he was studying in class 8. He then began working with his elder brother Mussavir at his gas welding workshop. He learnt the art of making coolers, almirahs and other household items using steel and aluminium sheets. He was inspired by the character of ‘Rancho’ in the movie ‘3 idiots’ and wanted to make his village Fulsawangi famous. Using the skills that he honed while working at the workshop, Ibrahim designed a helicopter from scratch.

He had built the helicopter using information from Youtube videos. In a mammoth effort that lasted two years, Ibrahim was able to collect all the parts that are required to build the helicopter. According to his friend Sachin Ubale, the deceased innovator created the prototype of a single-seater helicopter. Ibrahim had used steel pipes and a Maruti 800 engine to build the helicopter. Ubale added that Ismail wanted to showcase the DIY helicopter to the public on the occasion of Independence Day.

On Tuesday night, Ismail decided to do a final trial run of the helicopter. As his friends gathered to witness the occasion, he started the engine, and shortly after the accident happen. As seen in the video shot by his friends, while rotating at very high speed, the blades of the tail rotor of the helicopter snapped, and pieces of it hit the main rotor blads. This caused the main rotor blades also to snap, and a piece of metal hit Ismail at a very high speed.

“Ismail wanted to exhibit the helicopter to the public on Independence Day this year and so he decided to test the flying machine near his workshop. On Tuesday night, he occupied the pilot seat and started the engine as some of his friends watched in awe. Even before anyone could understand what was happening, a piece of the broken blade slashed Ismail’s throat and he collapsed to the ground. He used to test the functioning of the chopper very often. Earlier, he had been successful in lifting the helicopter 5 feet above the ground. It was his final trial on Tuesday,” Ubale said.

The deceased’s friend informed that Ismail would wear a helmet and headphones while testing the helicopter. However, on the fateful night, he did not wear any protective gear. His friends were thrilled to see Ismail testing out his DIY chopper. Their happiness was short-lived as the helicopter malfunctioned within minutes. After the pieces of the blades slit the throat of Ismail, he fell down from the helicopter. He began bleeding profusely and was rushed to a hospital at Pusad. However, he succumbed to his injuries even before the doctors could begin the treatment. A video of the incident had gone viral on social media.
