On 22.10.2018 around 7.30pm, one of the most horrible caste-related killings in India took place.

27-year-old vehicle driver Dinesh Kumar was of a "higher" caste than most of the others in the Thalavaipatti village, Attur town, Salem district, Tamil Nadu, who are "Dalits" (the outcasts). Before the murder, Dinesh and his wife cursed neighbour Rajalakshmi who was an 8th-grader and her mother with racist words. Moreover, Dinesh vocally harrased Rajalakshmi. Rajalakshmi rejected his evil desire and told her parents that. The parents however, did not reveal this matter, fearing it would bring shame on the family. (Shame on the victim, what average failed societies do). They only cut the relationship with Dinesh Kumar's family. Still, rumors spread among the villagers. Angry about that, Dinesh Kumar stormed into their house with a sickle, when 13-year-old Rajalakshmi and her mother Chinnaponnu were stringing flowers in their home. He called them by their caste name, and pushed Chinnaponnu down so hard that she fell unconscious. Using the sickle, he dragged Rajalakshmi out of her home and chopped off her head. After Rajalakshmi died,i he returned to his own house with Rajalakshmi's severed head, then threw it on the roadside. Chinnaponnu could only get fainted see the headless corpse of her young daughter lying on the ground lifeless. Around 9.30 pm the police came to the spot. They brought the head and body of Rajalakshmi to the government hospital. The postmortem found there were no other injuries except the cut of the headless neck.

This case caused mass protests and Me-Too campaigns. People all feel sad for the loss of an innocent young girl. Local panchayat members, congress members and activists visited the deceased's parents.

A POCSO special court sentenced the unhuman to capital punishment in 2022. If my memory was right, he has already been hanged.

A ruthless murder case has emerged in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh in May 2018. A mentally ill uncle chased away the 13-year-old niece's ax and separated the head from the torso. After the murder, the accused ran away with the head and burned it. Police have arrested the accused.

AIPUR, India – A father in northwestern India remained unrepentant Tuesday after beheading his daughter with a ceremonial sword in a rage over her relationships with men on Father's Day of 2012.

The father surrendered at a police station, carrying the head in one hand and the bloodied sword in the other, police said.

Residents of Dungarji village expressed shock as they performed the last rites for the 20-year-old woman.

Police said the father, marble miner Oghad Singh, accused his daughter of bringing dishonor to the family and making it hard to find husbands for her two unmarried sisters.

Women wailing in grief lined the dusty road of the village in Rajasthan state as a procession carried Manju Kanwar's remains to her funeral pyre. As in many north and west Indian villages, the women, including her mother and four sisters, were not allowed to attend the funeral.

A coroner stitched Kanwar's head onto her body for the funeral. About 100 men, many of them relatives wearing ceremonial Rajput warrior clan turbans, surrounded her muslin-wrapped body, and her brother lit the funeral pyre.

Villagers condemned the father's actions as extreme. They said the father, his shirt soaked in blood, had carried his daughter's head through the village, describing what he'd done to neighbors.

"He told me that he took the sword out, and when the daughter was all alone in the house he beheaded her with a single stroke and the head fell on the ground," said Narayan Singh, a distant relative.

He said he persuaded Singh to surrender, and took him by motorcycle to a police station 5 kilometers (2 miles) away. Police charged Singh, 46, with murder.

"It was a ghastly sight," officer Ranjit Singh said, describing the father sitting in the station's waiting room holding the head in one hand and the sword in the other. "Oghad admitted immediately that he killed his daughter because she had earned a bad name for the family."

Police described Kanwar's recent life as difficult and unorthodox for the traditional community of about 1,000 just outside the Rajasthani tourist town of Udaipur.

She left her husband from an arranged marriage two years ago and moved back home to live with her parents. She recently began seeing several men which "disgusted" her father, deputy police superintendent Umesh Ojha said.

"Oghad said he was fed up with the lifestyle of his daughter," Ojha said.

When Manju eloped with one man two weeks ago, her father forced her to return on Sunday and killed her.

Guwahati: In a gruesome incident, a man allegedly beheaded his wife and carried the severed head through the streets of Guwahati before being arrested today, police said.

Ranjit Das, suspecting his wife Amiya Daimary Das of being involved in an illicit relationship, allegedly killed her in a fit of rage with a sharp machete at their residence in Japorigog area of the city.

Das after beheading his wife carried the severed head through the streets before he was stopped by a group of patrolling CRPF personnel and taken to Dispur police station.

The couple, married for the last ten years, have two sons and their six-year old younger son Ashim Das, who had witnessed the incident, is now missing.

The elder nine-year old son Vishal Das had gone to his maternal uncle's residence in Nalbari during the ongoing Puja holidays, sources said.

Amiya was a nurse with the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and was posted at Orang in Darrang district.

Her body has been sent for post-mortem and Das was being interrogated by police, sources added.

After beheading his wife's head he carried her head in a polythene bag all around for five kilometers to Hariparvat and tried to hoist the victim's head at a traffic signal.

Naresh Baghel (33) and Shanti Devi (29) were married for 15 years and often had small arguments and Naresh use to beat her however Shanti's parents never thought that he would ever kill her. On the night of the murder, Naresh was waiting for his wife to fall asleep and then coped off her head with a sickle. His daughter heard her mothers scream but their parent's bedroom was locked, so no one could enter inside and the screams just were heard once, so kids got back to sleep.

The next day the kids found his mother lying dead with her head separated out and missing. And so was Naresh Baghel missing from his residence.

A few days ago, he had climbed an electric pole to clean it and got stuck there for a couple of hours and was known to have gone mental, in the locality. His kids were mainly looked after by his and Naresh was just chaos in the family. lately he had also started accusing his wife of having an affair with someone and that added more to his arguments with his wife.

One night prior to the murder, Naresh and Shanti had an argument over the assumed affair and his drinking issues and Naresh was so angry with the whole argument that he waited for her to sleep off to behead her.

Chitwan, Nepal, April 5, 2019: Three persons of a family have found dead at their home at Sashinagar Sahari Clinic area of Bharatpur Metropolitan City- 17 on Friday morning.

According to the police, the Maya Aale Magar, 34, her 14 year daughter Binita and 11 year old son Bibek were found hanging at the beam f their home.

It is said that the deceased Maya's husband Nar Bahadur Aale Magar is serving to the Nepal Army.

In Fullerton, California, USA.... on July 5, 2011.... three police officers responded to a vandalism call where they found a homeless man named Kelly Thomas acting erratically. Thomas had a lengthy criminal record that included assault with a deadly weapon.

Thomas was acting erratically and uncooperative, but was actually unarmed at the time. One of the officers threatened to punch Thomas if he didn't calm down, and Thomas replied by daring him to take up on the threat. Shortly after, all three officers pinned Thomas down and tasered him repeatedly all while he begged for mercy. At some point, one of the officers also struck Mr Thomas numerous times in the face with a flashlight, resulting in blunt-force injuries that would render his face unrecognizable.

Thomas was rushed to the ICU where he passed away, with the apparent C.O.D. being "mechanical compression of the thorax" brought upon by the facial injuries.

A serious accident involving three vehicles left one person dead on the morning of Thursday, May 2, on the PE-052 highway, in the municipality of Nazaré da Mata/Pernambuco. The fatal victim was Maria Roza da Silva, 40 years old, a resident of the city of Itaquitinga.

According to police information, Maria was traveling in an Astra model vehicle when the collision involving a truck and a Voyage occurred. The driver of the Astra was rescued by SAMU (Emergency Medical Service) and taken to the local hospital, while the others remained at the scene.

The civil police were called and, after the forensic investigation, Maria's body was sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML). The police station in Nazaré da Mata is investigating the causes of the accident.

M Sankara Rao, a former Army jawan (a rank system of officials), in Jalumuru mandal (town) in Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh, had murdered his wife over a dowry dispute and was remanded to custody in 2005.

Some villagers in Mettapeta were witnesses for the prosecution. But later on November 2010, he was released on bail taking special permission on health grounds. Shankar Rao then hatched a plan to murder all those who were witnesses against him during the trial of the murder case.

First he plotted to sacrifice his children. On November 29, 2010 He brought his two children, daughter Manasa who was studying in Grade 3 of Elementary School and son Diwakar who was a kindergartner, from the residential school they were studying. After the children fell asleep at night, he took a cutlass and chopped off their heads and hid the two heads at the Someswara temple near Srimukhalingam, packed in cover. The trunks of his children were left in the bloodied open house.

Later, he killed his ‘friend' Pyla Venkatarao who helped him in committing the grisly act of shifting the heads to the temple. Rao had requested him to place the bags at Someswara Swami temple at Srimukhalingam telling him that the bags contained coconuts. Not stopping at that, Sankara Rao killed Pyla Lakshmanarao, Metta Yerrayya, U. Parvati and Boddepalli Damayanti who reportedly deposed against him in court in the case relating to his wife's murder. As he went on the rampage the whole night, panic-stricken villagers ran for safety.

During interrogation, Sankara Rao admitted that he decide to kill his children because no one would look after them if he is in jail.

The former CRPF jawan was sentenced to death in 2012, but Rao was later acquitted by High Court due to lack of evidence and poor prosecution. He was de-facto released again. Finally, thanks to villagers, he was lynched in 2017. Seven people were arrested for being suspected of killing Rao.
