Lohardaga, India
Two persons were killed and around 25 injured when a van rams into a crowd at a Ram Navami procession in Lohardaga town on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Bajrang Sahu (35) of Bakshi Dipa locality and Soni Kumari (18) of Riyada area of Lohardaga town.
deputy commissioner (DC) Waghmare Prasad Krishna and superintendent of police (SP) Haris Bin Zaman rushed the injured to sadar hospital and Rims.
The SP said, βThe van has been seized and its driver has been taken into custody.β The accident occurred at Rana Chowk of Lohardaga town. Soon the Kendriya Mahabir Mandal announced end of all procession in the district in view of the incident.
